Rated 5 out of 5 by good air rifle the pellits need to be oil free and also the barrel needs to be oil free or you get the desiel effect which causes it to give it a louder sound the spring needs to be bufffered better other than that its a very relyable air rifle July 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Gun Great gun does the job. Just the mechanics inside is what makes the most noise. November 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by murkin pests allday its alot lighter than most guns in its class, pretty accurate @ 50yds, doves n pidgeons dont stand a chance, trigger mods a must! GET A GOOD SCOPE! i love this gun wish it was .22 cal June 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by High quality Great lookin gun, very powerful, purchased this for a squirrel problem in my backyard, but the gun is mis-named, it def. does not WHISPER, I live near a day-care & could not shoot this thing in my back-yard, it sounds like a 22 cal rifle, had to return it, but would love to have kept it..... Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Gun so Far I've had this gun for about 2 weeks and so far so good. Been awhile since I owned a bb/pellet gun so my review is based on that. My last one 15 years ago was a Crossman 760 and what a difference. I bought this one for some target shooting and to get rid of some crows. The scope is decent for my needs. Sturdy mount and I had no problem sighting it in. At 30 yards, I can maintain a 1 inch group shooting from a rest. Haven't used the open sights and don't intend to. The PBA ammo indeed is a lot faster but does have a failry loud report, almost like a 22. With standard pellets, it's very quite. A little bit of recoil but nothing noteworthy. I sighted it in with the Gamo Red Fire pellets and found these to be the most consistently accurate. With the PBA ammo, I need to aim about 1-2 inches low so it does come out of the barrel hot. As far as the crows go. They're gone :-) February 27, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by gamo whisper The only issue I have had with this gun is the break barrel mechanism. I shot about 200 shots it became difficult to break the barrel, it would get stuck and I noticed a grinding sound. I took apart the gun and looked at the break barrel lever and noticed it had gouged out a 4 inch line on the underside of the barrel. Other than that I have really enjoyed the gun. February 20, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Super slick but NOT whisper quiet! Got two of these for Christmas at a fantastic price. Not whisper quiet - sounded like a .22 rifle being shot. Superb quality with a very nice scope. Knocked off one star as they were shipped separately with a label slapped on. Both were damaged and had to bring them to a store for an exchange - which they did without issue! January 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent, and accurate okay, so far this gun is excellent. I have easily about 1,000 shots through the gun and am able to shoot groups the size of a quarter or smaller consistently at about 25 yards.(most groups are consistently less than .5"). Only had a problem with the scope moving until I put lock-tite on the mounting bolts, problem solved. The only things I may do are the charlie datuna trigger mod, and possibly the nitro piston upgrade...other than that, and those are only things I might prefer in the future..the gun is awesome. Its quiet enough to shoot even at night unless you're using PBA ammo. Definately would recommend this air rifle to anyone. December 25, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not a quiet silencer I like the gun alot but the power does not seem to kill squirrels unless its a shot to head. what bothers me is its very loud, louder than my previous gun. though the silencer looks cool it does nothing at all. December 18, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by good little pellet gun The rifle was accurate with open sights right out of the box. Made a cuple of slight adjustments on rear sight (off a little to the left) and she hit "right on" with lead pellets. The scope is another story. Gamo would probably be better off just eliminating the scope. Mounting was difficult (the scope would not "square up" on the mounting base. The cross hares never got level with the tube. After several shots, I just discarded the scope and used open sights. I have a rat problem and this little baby will put an end to that. Got two the day I brought it home. Overall I like the rifle. Again I say "lose the scope" it's useless. The whisper feature is great. December 18, 2012
