Rated 5 out of 5 by My second one, this one will be a back-up in my backpack I bought my first one this last summer because of arthritis in my wrist and thumbs, and this release let me continue to bowhunt without the pain I indured with the wrist strap of my other releases. I was even able to increase the poundage on my bow. I went 2 for 2 on a 7 and 10 pt. so my season was a success. I highly reccomend this release to anyone having pain in their thumbs, as you can pull with all 4 fingers in a more natural way, and if you were a long time finger shooter like I was it's a more natural feel. I'll never go back to the wrist strap release, even if I could. Great release!!! December 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best release I've ever used. Not only the best but most comfortable. Best way to use it is to fix the pad in ur palm at the right distance for your trigger finger and tighten strap. July 25, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wow!! Much easier to draw bow. I shot with fingers for ten years, then switched to a Winn Free Flight release (gloved release) for another ten years. The Winn release was awesome but was very hard to hook on the d-loop of my new Hoyt Carbon Matrix Plus. I have always disliked wrist releases because they don't let you pull with your hand. This Tru-Fire gloved release allows for the best of both worlds. You get the proven ease of a caliper release with the comfort and added strength of getting to use your hand to pull when you draw your bow. It is very smooth and quiet mechanically. Why anyone would use a wrist release over this glove release is beyond me. Go try one at Dick's or somewhere else and I bet you end up buying it, I'm glad I did! One note of caution though, there is no adjustment in length, so if the length is different than your current release you may need to adjust the draw length of your bow, or d-loop size. The length was close enough to my old release that I didn't have to change anything but "you" might. October 22, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Solid release, comfortable and smooth action I was worried that I wouldn't like this release, but needed to eliminate side-torque I was having with my old wrist release. I am pleasantly surprised with this release. With my old release I had a solid piece from the strap to the jaws and my arrows had been getting pushed left about 3" as a result of side pressure, this release eliminated that push for me. The placement of the jaw/hand/string is perfect for me to get a true straight-away release of the string. I'm glad I bought it and am now more accurate and confident. I find this glove release to be the same amount of annoyance as a standard wrist release as far as grabbing things goes. This release is in the way but at least stays put. With my old release it would often flap into something and make noise, this one stays put close to your palm so you're less likely to scare off prey. Engaging the jaws onto the string is also silent. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great release! I bought this same release back in 2000 when I started bow hunting....Still using it today after thousands of shots and 14 years of hard hunting. Truely amazing. Excited to see that they still make it, may buy one for a back up. Thats if this one doesnt outlive me. November 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for ANYONE Bought this release when it first came out back around 2006. Still have that same one. Easy to tighten and no hassle with a strap or buckle. Sits in hand comfortably and is smooth with trigger pull and release. Very smooth with draw back as well. Two of my friends just purchased the same exact release and love it. I will say this. If you are a hardcore competition shooter it is not what you want. It will be too bulky and anchor point feels awkward. For the hunter or enthusiest it doesn't get much better. August 15, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Comfortable I bought the release instead of the common wrist release like the Patriot release. Strap it very comfortable. There is not much room for adjusting the length of the release. I would recommend this release to anyone who would like a little more leverage while drawing thier bow because you can grip the release. June 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by looks and performs awesome this is the first release i've ever used having been shooting for 25 years. its easy to use, very comfortable, and well made. i might buy another just incase i misplace this one. November 7, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by trufire hurricane glove release Great release. Had my son try it, he liked it, so I ordered him one. December 4, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good glove style release The release feels really good and works great with a "D" style loop. I have an older Tru-Fire release that had a rotating head on it that I liked better for finger placement when pulling the trigger and the trigger on this one is shorter, but I will get used to it. Good product other than that. April 18, 2012
