Great for first time kayakers Great stability and ease of turns for occasional recreational users. Light weight to carry and an overall good experience with this one! May 28, 2013
balance I call thi yak a tank u can go ovr fallen logs and throught white rough water. You can try to tip it but it wont. May 21, 2013
LOVE MY NEW KAYAK I'm super excited to try out our new kayaks. My boyfriend and I purchased two and love them so far. They seem very stable and easy to guide through relatively calm water (weighing 150lbs and 5'10). We haven't ventured out too much yet but they are comfortable and have plenty of room for long legs. :) May 19, 2013
Great boat for the price To start off I have nicknamed it the barge, It is wide in the beam and bow is a is a little flatter than I would expect on a yak. These 2 features seam to be reflected in it some what sluggish top speed for it's length. The 3rd design feature that could be improved is the flexibility of the polymer used in the construction. It feels a little on the cheap side. It does track fairly well and handles and turns as expected. The dry compartment in front is great and the lids are easy to access. I will be adding a bulk head behind the seat to make the stern dry storage for camping gear. It seems to be rugged and a great buy even with my nitpicking criticisms. April 9, 2013
Good Value For the dollar I got out of the tippy hulls of other Kayaks. My lower back just could not take the constant wiggling required to sit upright in the slow waters I paddle in. They were also 8 footers so they did not track worth a hoot. This Future Beach Fusion 10 is also known as the 124. Good tracking, very stable. The foot RESTS are just that, if you get into fast water, use your knees or thighs to lock yourself to the boat. I have not broken any on the one I bought a year ago, bought another for my wife 4/6/2013. An item of note. The older of the two has a "dry" well under the rubber cover, the newer is open to the hull. advantage or disadvantage depends on what you are doing. Open one is easier to clean the interior hull and a soft sided cooler fits in nicely. The "dry" one is rather shallow and likely won't keep any thing very dry, if you loose the boat down river the things you put in there have a better chance of staying put, but don't bet on dry. Best for the $$ I've used an Old Town dirigo (twice the price but has a dry storage compartment) and a Swifty and a Potomac. The future beach fusion 10 is by FAR the best comfort and construction for the money. I'm planning on buying another one so my wife can cruise around with me while I fish.. March 28, 2013
good beginner kayak i have had this kayak a little over a year. Ive been in rivers and lakes with no problems at all and I'm 6'4 250lbs. I would recommend this kayak for anyone. March 4, 2013
tough little kayak I would have to say after paddling 3-4 different kayaks that i am very pleased with the performance and ruggedness of this little yak, my brother and i both have one and we abuse them really bad. we drag them over rocks, logs , beaver dams, cypress stumps and anything else in our path with little to no damage except for a couple small scratches. This is also a very stable kayak and is great for beginners or avid users alike.I highly recommend this kayak to anyone!! Never let me down yet! I love love love the space and balance of this kayak! The dry box stays Dry unlike some others I have seen. The only kind of bad thing is the weight, this guy is a tad heavy for those log halls. January 19, 2013
rugged stable kayak I have used this Kayak for about 2 years on a large lake and a river with mild rapids. I have run into and skidded over rocks in the river, been in 2-3 feet high waves on the lake. This kayak is very stable, you would almost have to try to tip over for it to roll. It has only sustained minor scratches on the bottom from skidding across rocks in the river bottom. Very roomy wide kayak. I put a stadium seat cushion on the back rest to be more comfy.Tracks fairly straight. Can go in pretty shallow water. For being an inexpensive kayak it is a great buy. Word to the wise, don't go on a big lake in a little kayak when its windy, can get quite scary when those waves start building and tossing you around in the open water. January 14, 2013
