Rated 5 out of 5áby Great yak THis is a quality kayak recommend for any user. lenght is great for providing stability. Only issue I have with it is the weight.. But cant have durability with out weight in this case. Have seen many new kayaks at the cheapo stores with super thin walls this is not the case. This kayak is made to be with you for years to come. Rated 4 out of 5áby Satisfied Been wanting a kayak for quite some time. Have fished out of many different ones, but they were not angling kayaks. I really like this one due to the length and rod holders. Seat is not the most comfortable but i can live with it. June 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby First Kayak I've been researching kayaks for months if not years prior to buying this kayak and I feel like I made the right decision in so many ways. The main reason I had not bought one sooner is my transportation (Honda Civic). I finally stopped into Dick's and bought literally everything I needed to make this kayak not only transportable, but enjoyable on the water too. The guys at Dick's even helped me get it on top of my car, one guy was really helpful but I just don't recall his name. As for the Kayak I will go over the experiences I have had with it so far in about three week's time. First off, it's a blast and I wish I had bought a kayak twenty years ago. The kayak is very stable and I have not tipped it yet and I have rocked it to see how stable it is. I have had this kayak on the St. Joe river once and while I did just mostly anchor and fish by the boat launch I felt very safe the whole time, even when I was doing stupid things. I took out the pod that came with it for the back and I just strap my tackle box and cooler down using the bungies that come with the boat. I use the front bungee to hold my net. There is still room in the cockpit for me to put some smaller things between my legs too. As a six foot three, 230-250 pound guy I needed a stable platform that was capable of holding my big body and the Eagle Run delivers and then some. I feel like I got a bargain on this boat at $450. You will still need to purchase a paddle, a PFD, and you will be ready to fish still waters very nicely. Add an anchor (I would suggest getting a trolley too), and a rod holder for the front and this thing is ready to go where you want to go. The closed cockpit of this model does a few things that you may or may not like; I love the fact that it keeps me far more dry than a sit on top while still offering lots of room for a guy with my big frame. I set it up in about five minutes from car to water so that isn't the issue I thought it may be before I purchased the kayak. This is my first kayak so I don't have much to compare it to but I do not regret my purchase in any way. I feel this product is excellent for the man who seeks to hit the water relatively cheaply, have some fun, get to some fishing spots nobody else can get to, and get a decent low intensity upper body workout. The kayak is stable, roomy, and feels safe when on the water. It moves well and seems to track fairly well to me but I don't have any other kayaks to that I've been in to judge it off of. I would recommend this kayak especially to bigger guys like me as it has a five hundred pound weight limit. I kind of think it should've come with a front mounted rod holder to go along with the flush mount rod holders but I remedied that with a thirty dollar Scotty no drill rod holder. I would like to add that this kayak is a head turner and many ppl will compliment you on how nice your yak is even while they're riding in huge pontoons and fishing boats. The seat can be a little uncomfortable after a long while but it's not bad at first and this may be due to my prior back issues as well. I think the one thing I wish I had known before buying a kayak is that you will need to spend a few hundred more dollars after buying the kayak. A paddle is about fifty bucks, same with a PFD, and there are some things you will want to put on your kayak such as an anchor and possibly anchor trolley, a rod holder, cleats to tie things down (really cheap), rope, and anything else you might deem as necessary (seat cushion would probably be a good investment). Whatever yak you decide on you should count on spending more. I would not discourage anyone from picking one up though, even if it's just to tour local lakes and such because they are so fun, portable, and easy to use. I didn't mention that I haven't taken one kayak safety course and still feel completely safe on my Field and Stream Eagle Run!!!!!! June 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Outstanding kayak!!! Excellent kayak choice for my needs!! You pay more for the Eagle Run 120, but definitely performs better than an entry-level kayak and worth the extra $$. Difficult to see on the water as it is camo.. knew that when purchased, but something to consider if going on busy waters.. Could not be more satisfied with my purchase!! June 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Kayak for the Price Purchased this online and picked up in store. Great Kayak for the price, its light being only 60 lbs and I got a cart so I can move it around by myself. Great for fishing and has great amounts of storage. Moves through the water great and handles waves well. June 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Best kayak I've owned This kayak is a very ridged strong boat that floats great and fast cutting through the water June 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great kayak Very smooth on the water and an awesome quality fishing kayak for our family to use. June 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Nice Yak for the price Just bought mine yesterday, and had it on the water 2 hours later. I spent about 4 hours on the water, catching bass the whole time. Its a little heavy at 60 lbs, but its worth the extra weight. Its comfortable, tracks well, has plenty of storage space and it is very stable. I have a couple other, cheaper kayaks that I have used considerably, and they don't even come close to comparing to this one. June 20, 2016
