Rated 5 out of 5áby Great kayak This is the second Field and Stream Eagle Run that I've purchased. They are easy to use, easy to load, and fishing from them is a lot of fun. Wish there was a can holder that worked better though. May 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Second Season It's is my second season on this yak. I used it last summer, and during duck season. I will have to say. It's extremely versatile. I've had it on big open white cap waters, down rivers, streams, and just about any duck hole you could think of. Its not very fast but thats ok, its very sturdy and safe. It's made very well. I've hunted in this yak for 8 straight hours and I couldn't believe how comfortable it was. The weight capacity is a plus. I built a custom mount where the cargo pod is to store 2 dozen duck decoys. Built a custom camo cover. If you're like me and enjoy anything like the above I highly recommend this kayak. May 15, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby F&S Eagle Run 120 Fishing Kayak I have not spent much time on the water yet, but initially I'm very impressed with this hull. Very stable and glides well through the water. Definitely heavier than most boats its size, but not that big of a deal. I'm thinking about buying a second boat in the near future and I will likely get another Eagle Run 120. May 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great features and value After much research, I decided to buy this kayak, based upon positive reviews. Haven't gotten it in the water yet, but it appears to be a very sturdy, well-made kayak. After comparing it to many other "pretty" kayaks, I am glad I made this choice. It's big...12ft and 60 lbs, but I am able to lift it as needed. Can't wait to hit the water when it warms up a bit. May 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great kayak for larger people Starting my second season In the Augusta area on an Eagle Run 120 kayak. It tracks ok in the Savannah River. It can be a hand full in moderate to high current. Rides low in the water and be prepared for a work out. I like this yak it has plenty of storage for camping or fishing. The main CON is, like all Field & Stream comments the seat sucks, it comes apart and no replacement parts available that I can find. Going to try to modify it with a sit on seat with a sit on seat if possible. If any of you have done a seat mod on this YAK let me know what you did. May 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Big Guys and Kayaks Recently, I purchased two of these one for myself and one for a friend. We have never been kayaking at all, but after some searching, the decision to purchase the Field & Stream Eagle Run 120 Fishing Kayak was made. I am 6'4" 360 pounds, my friend is 6'3" 280 pounds. These kayaks are great for bigger guys. Plenty of leg room, plenty of width, very maneuverable in the water, seemingly very stable (although after one trip, I'm not so sure fishing out of it is an option yet). We went kayaking for 3 hours, we had no flips, near flips, no water leaking issues. These kayaks are great for the beginner. I am very happy with the purchase of these kayaks, I don't think for the money, one could find a better kayak for a first timer. The only bad marks I have to give, are the location of the foot pegs, I'm too tall to use them at all. Other than that, I don't think I could ask for more as a big guy. May 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Way better than expected. Impulse buy a couple weeks ago because my canoe is heavy and the slightest of winds pushes it all around when solo. I spend more time correcting and less time fishing when I'm in my canoe. (With 2 people it's fine) Having owned yaks 3 times the cost I must say I am impressed with the Eagle Run. It's pretty comfy and there is enough room for me. (I'm 6ft4 250) it tracks great, is fairly fast, a moderate breeze does not effect it much because you are lower and closer to the water. The best part loading and unloading, it is lighter than any canoe/yak I've owned. The first time I took it out fishing on the lake I did get caught in some adverse conditions. A storm rolled in wind picked up and there were whitecaps. I must say I was quite nervous and I hat to work to get back to the launch, but the boat handled it well. The backrest is great, I'm able to spend hrs on it. This yak is way better than the Talon. Faster, more stable and WAY more comfortable! While I wouldn't take it in white water, or off the beach (it's not made for it) I wouldn't hesitate to fish inland salt water, or on rivers most anywhere. There is not a ton of room to keep alot of stuff within reach, but I like that. You can remove the hatch and keep a crate/cooler on the back, and tackle in the cockpit. I'm liking it more and more every time I go out in it. April 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Excellent Kayak First of all I had three compliments on the kayak before I even left the store while it was on the floor at checkout. I purchased the lime green camouflage. It is a beautiful well made kayak and with a unique pattern. The features are endless. It doesn't come with a paddle but I got one from amazon prime for $35. I live in the Puget Sound Region so this is the perfect kayak, being that it has a cockpit to protect you from any waves. It tracks very fast, is stable and easy to control. You couldn't ask for more storage. You have storage underneath the bow and stern as well as above both of them with deck rigging, then you have a removable storage bin which floats and you can tow behind you for extra space and it has a waterproof rubber gasket to keep water out. Also a drain plug, two cup holders, padded seat and backrest, paddle holders, rod holders. I am so impressed and I am so happy with my purchase. April 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby the adjustable backrest, cup holders and rod holders are great. This kayak handles great on the river were I do the majority of my fishing The seat is very comfortable and the cockpit affords a lot of room and I would recommend it for those of us who are not small men or women.
