I have 3 F&S Tec Spec rods
I am able to fish 2 or 3 times a week for large mouth and small mouth bass,the tip on the Tec Spec Soft Plastic Casting Rod lets me get large plastic baits under docks and trees and lets me feel the fish even on light pickups yet has the back bone to pull the fish out of the cover. I own 3 F&S Tec Spec Rods and love the balance and action. The only complaint I have is the hook keeper should be in front of the reel seat.

Nice action, avg quality
Liked it, but used 2 times and the place where the reel sits on the rod came apart and slid up the shaft (so the reel will no longer stay in place). I had to glue it back in place, not sure it will hold though???

7' length would not accomodate my rod-holder mounted on my door...tip action was limber

AWESOME ROD!!!
I bought this to put on my new baitcaster and rig it with my plastics for big bass, and it did the trick. I have no complaints at all with this rod, it is very sensitive for great feel and helps cast along way. Plus had the backbone to help me pull up my biggest bass(9 lbs.) just the other day. GREAT ROD FOR MONEY, CANT GET ANY BETTER!!!

best rod for the price
love the light weight rod and it goes good with me quatum code 7.1 gears ratio. the rod has a limber fill to it but still has alot of backbone to get a good hookset. when i choose to but another rod i think it will be a field and stream tec spec "best rod for the price".

Great for the Money
I have three of these rods paired with high-speed reels and love them!! They have a great feel and balance with a soft tip that allows you to feel the fish before they feel you, but still have the backbone to land quality fish. I would highly recommend these rods to anyone fishing on a budget.

Like my Carrot Stick!
My Carrot stick went overboard and I didnt, want to shell out anouther [$] so I bought this because it feels similar. I have not been disappointed with this rod and I plan on buying a few more to keep in the boat. I consider myself a very knowledgeable and accomplished fisherman but I am not on the circuit getting [$] rods comped to me. I have a budget for fishing but I desire great quality and this fills the bill!

Well Built and Priced Right!
I bought this rod to replace the old Field & Stream rod that had broken. I was skeptical at first due to the handle not being a cork handle and not a full handle. After pairing it up with my worm reel and fishing with this rod I am sold. Very well built and can horse fish out of heavy cover! I will be buying more of these rods.
