Rated 4 out of 5 by Good bat for the price Bought this bat as a back up last year. I've used it mainly in the cages and it has held up well. After about 250 pitches it just started to splinter at the point where the wood grain is the smallest. Cage balls are very hard on a bat so I have to say it held up well. When buying this bat look for straight wood grain and keep lable pointed away from pitcher so the ball hits the flat part of wood grain. Had many pitches hit the handle at 70mph. bat hld up well for what it is. A cheap wooden bat. March 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by good bat for a good hitter This bat is excellent for the price. Lets face it all wood bats break and the cheaper the better. You can break a 200 dollar bamboo wood bat if you hit it right, or a 400 dollar metal bat for that matter. So for all those reviews saying it vibrates, its not durable, it shatters. yes that is all true, but, wood bats are for good hitters. they teach you to hit the ball on the sweet spot and make your hitting ability better. therefore, if your using it correctly(gripping tight enough, hitting it well on the barrel) you will do amazing with this bat and your hitting skills will show because of it. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great model This bat has a avery good feel to it the model is terrific. However the wood is kinda low grade. It has alot of pop I hit farther with this bat than an XL3 in bp. I one hopped the fence at our hs field witch is about 310 off of just about 40 mph pitching. I used this bat just for bp all through Jr.High school ball and started to splinter a little bit at the end of the season witch was about 2 and 1/2 months of hitting with it around 5 days a week. The handle is great feeling and the handle and barrel have very good transition spots and join together great. About to by another one. I wish they would make this model in M9 maple or just hard maple. February 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome bat at a great price I am on my 2nd bat, retired the 1st after about 13 games and roughly 45 AB plus about 300 pitches in the cages. Just figured I wanted to try a 33" instead plus I could tell it was losing pop. Hit plenty all along the bat, inside, outside, and SWEET spot. I like the trampoline effect and feel of ash. Have yet to try maple for the fact I don't want to put the money down on something that is more prone to snap on bad contact. Just hit 3-4 with 2 triples with my new 33". Loving these bats and never worry about breaking it (my 32" showed me the benefit of flex, and the price isn't worrisome). Definetly saw and felt the difference between the new pop vs the hundreds of balls hit off my old one. Again ash is best for beginners because it is more forgiving than maple. But maple will have more pop for hitters who hit better (more consistently in the sweet spot). No complaints on this bad at all and recommended to my teammate who broke 2 $150 marucci maples. ( I'm 19 yrs old facing 65-90 mph). Bottom line ash is more flex less pop. Maple is the opposite. All bats will break if the batter doesn't hit properly and I will admit I have been surprised on a few hits that I ddnt break it. Hope this helps! August 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is of great quality Solid crafting and can really take a beating. I own 4 of these bats and we use them every weekend. Solid buy. June 25, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by It's an Ash bat, what do you expect? It's a White Ash bat for $25, what do you expect out of it? I generally snap these bats like twigs, so I only use them for BP and as a backup to a better bat. I have 3 of these right now, 2 of them with duct tape all over to keep the splits held together and splinters from flying. The other one I use as backup in case my maple or bamboo bats break. If you're looking for a cheap bat to last a few games, or a bat for BP, it's a good value. If you're looking for a game bat to last a year or two, spend the $80-$90 on a better quality bat. Rated 1 out of 5 by Bat cracks easily. I broke 3 of these bats in 2 days. The quality is not good. The bat does not feel solid, and it stings your hands when hitting a ball. Recommend higher quality bats. September 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great bat. I see alot of people saying this bat breaks easily. I don't think those people know how to swing a bat correctly. Have had 75mph plus numerous times on the inside of my hands, end of the bat & WILL NOT BREAK. A great buy. March 6, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Bat for the Money! Grabbed one of these bats from my son who was competing in a 12U wood bat tournament as a spare. Hit a home run with it. He was very impressed and complemented the bats "POP". I would like to see different colors offered, or maybe a little better quality finish, but Its a very inexpensive bat!! Lasted 7 games so far, and still in his bag. July 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by AMAZING! People who break bats on their "1st AB" Or "The first week" obviously do NOT KNOW How to swing a wood bat and probably should stick to BBCOR. July 10, 2012
