Rated 5 out of 5áby 7 years and still going! I bought my Pelican for a song and a dance off of a guy who used it twice! There was not one scratch on it at all, I was amazed! The cup holders are not able to be used as cup holders, so they should be renamed gear/accessory compartments instead. Others have mentioned the difficulty in keeping more than 3 rods aboard and this is completely accurate. Between the two of us, we've lost 3 rods overboard in 7 years, one of them an expensive setup in a 25 ft depth which really hurt! If the outside railings were just a couple inches higher, it would be better. We've had to replace each of the seat brackets, but were able to get those cheap enough online. We've also added padded fishing seats for better comfort. We use a 55 lb thrust trolling motor mounted on the bow and it pulls our big butts around pretty nicely. We also have made some modifications adding additional wiring and added a Dragonfly 5 fish finder and some switches, so this rig has some bells and whistles and gets the job done nicely! My fishing partner and I collectively weigh 550 total. We use it for some cartopper tourneys and even some local tourneys on smaller bodies of water (or if not, we just stick to the edges and coves) against $30,000 bass boats when allowed and beat them! The joke often said is "The two biggest guys in the smallest boat catch the biggest fish!" We exceed the 600 lb limit often with our own weight, gear (including full size cooler filled with water and pump for a live well), extra full size battery and anything else you take fishing. I LOVE my Pelican and until I get a bigger bass boat, this will do just fine for awhile longer! April 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Boat Boat goes where I want to, light and easy to load in and out. I wish the cup holders were a little deeper, but, other than that I love it! July 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Very good small lake or pond fishing boat. This boat is very easy to guide and floats through very shallow water. I am glad we purchased this boat. July 11, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5áby no great feachers got this boat for my son from my brother and used once and the floor bubble up on us while fishing . reported it to pelican they said unproper storage that caused this problem so they say per pelican..boat was stored inside most of tm and taken care of .pelican got back to me and said keep b.oat in the sun put weight on bubble and it will go back down.did all this and nothing is working . ask them if they could send me parts to fix it myself .the boat is 3 to4 yrs.old .and war. is up all im asking is some response from your qc people. not relayed between people in your office. boat is stable great for my son light workmenship not sturdy after aging a bit.would not rec. this boat for long life use. Rated 5 out of 5áby Best Boat for the buck Got this boat last year from Dick's and love it. I haul it on a small trailer and just drop it into the water. I can't count the number of times I've fished with this thing. Very stable and can get through just about anything. I am 6 foot 1 320lbs and I fish with my son 6ft 220lbs. Add our gear trolling motor and battery and occasionally another adult. well over the 600lb max and this boat handles it all. May 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great little fishing boat This has been a great boat for me. It fits in the back of my truck so I don't need a trailer and I can off load it and load it on my truck my myself. I use a 55 lb thrust trolling motor and it goes 3.5 mph (according to the gps on my phone). The little "compartments" which are actually just indentations on the sides, come in very handy. I've been using it on Lake Mead this December and I have no fear of it capsizing. It is very stable. It does get rocked a lot from the wakes of other boats but I feel very safe in it. Rated 4 out of 5áby Pelican Bass Raider Revieew They are ok for small bodies of water I guess. 2 major points of concern however. The rod storage is bad. The design of this boat was not intended for someone who has more than 3 or 4 rods with them the space they used for cup holders etc etc should have just been an empty space for rod storage on port and aft cup holders are not needed. Also the material they used is good but on the bottem of the boat it should be thicker or reinforced better somehow. If you are alone, you can carry the boat so some dragging on the ground for short distances is a must. Well after a while it wears very thin and before long you have a hole in your boat. These two points were not thought of during the design of this little pond hopper. The pre wired feature is a plus, the stability is a plus, and the price is good. If you buy this boat mount trolling enging on the bow, as pulling through water is better than pushing and the pre wired feature is great for bow mounts. I have used the heck out of these boats, pretty good little small water boats, other than the two flaws I have written about. December 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Solid Little Boat I've had the boat for two years now and it's been great. It is easier with help but when I am alone I can slide it into my pickup bed myself and drop it in the water myself. I'm 6'4" and 300 lbs. and use it alone a lot but did a bass tourney recently with my buddy who weighs 325 lbs. The boat handled both of us and all of our gear. I'm not sure how long the seats will hold up as they are starting to look like they might crack near the rivets but I could easily replace those with padded seats pretty cheap. Overall, great little boat. August 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Perfect pond boat I've had the Pelican Bass Raider 10 for three years and "Darla" has been awesome. My fishing buddy and I are both over 250 pounds and this boat is super stable. I have a 30lb thrust trolling motor and I have had no problem getting around the many 5-100 acre ponds we fish. I couldn't ask for a better boat to haul in the back of my truck, ready for fishing at any time. July 24, 2014
