Not so satisfied.
Left turn...NASCAR style? I see some mixed reviews on here, but my experience is that if you want to go left you will be happy. If you want to paddle three times on the left, once on the right, and repeat- in order to go straight- then you will be happy. This kayak does not track well at all. It is a lot of work to get where you are going and if you stop paddling you will immediately turn left causing you to do a half circle.
The only reason I gave it a two instead of a one is because the cockpit is roomy and comfortable. I am getting rid of this kayak and hoping to get a new one that will actually allow me to enjoy my time on the water.

excelent boat
I bought this boat about 4 years ago, its been an EXCELENT boat. I've had this boat on lakes and rivers and never had any problems. It tracks perfectly on the water. the rear dry hatch works GREAT! the cock pit is very roomy, and the dry hatch is also very spacious too. I have not had any leaking except after rolling many times, but with minimal water leaking. This boat is difficult to roll, due to the flat wide bottom, it takes effort to get this boat to tip (VERY STABLE).
CONS:
This boat does not have any thigh braces or hip pads.
This boat does not have a drain plug
I modified my boat and put in a drain plug, thigh braces and hip pads.
This boat is an EXCELENT boat for the money.
This boat is GREAT for ALL types of water, from lakes, to streams to rivers. I've paddled this boat on flat water to white cap waves to class III rapids.
I do recamend getting a spray skirt for this boat.

So-So
I've had this kayak for a little over 2 years now, and have found it to be usable, but not fantastic. Having been an avid (read hobbyist, not professional) paddler for years, I bought this to replace my Super Otter, and while I was impressed with the room and the comfort of it, like everyone else, was disappointed in the tracking. My 9ft. otter was a smooth running, great tracking little boat. While this boat is faster in the water, it does track pretty poorly, and I have noticed the bottom of the hull deflecting when loaded in the water right under my seat. The storage compartment is not water proof, but I didnt reall expect it to be either. Thats what they make dry bags for. All in all, its functional, but you could do better.

best kayak yet for the money
I owned several kayaks before and just could not find the right one for what i would use one for. I do 3 or 4 days trips on class 1 upto class 4 rapid holding rivers. This kayak met my hauling capacity needs and then some. It handles very well on class 3 and can get you through most class 4 that i have taken it through. i had to buy a skirt for the class 3 and 4 rivers but was good to go as long as the driver could handle it ;)

great kayak for the bay
I bought this kayak after returning a smaller 9' perception sport that didn't feel secure enough in choppy waters. This one suited my needs perfectly--kayaking around the bay and coastal waters with ease and safety. I also like that I can lift it myself at 47 lbs and load it on my car. Some of the larger boats require two people to lift and carry. Solid, comfortable, attractive and affordable choice for getting out on the water!

Hard to find replacement parts.
I own this kayak and an Old Town Trip. This kayak lacks many features the Old Town has but is faster. Alot faster. The rear cover is hard to take off and the dry box, hahhaha is not dry, water does get in. My next kayak will be an Old Town with speed of this kayak if one exists. My friend tried to jump in and broke the seat. I looked online for a replacement, no luck. Not even the company that makes it has parts for sale online.

Good starter kayak
I've had this kayak out twice since I bought it a few weeks ago.... It's nice and roomy , stable and can handle it by myself. BUT there is absolutely no tracking what's so ever- I'm anxious to get it out into some faster moving water to see how well it handles but for open waters your best to look for a longer touring type kayak... It does have a decent seat and ample dry storage which is a huge plus! Bottom line is for my first kayak it's just what I was looking for , but I am definently not the leader in the group as I'm usually working twice as hard to keep up!

Don't buy this Kayak
Read other reviews but they were mixed. No this kayak does not track. Yes it goes in circles. It will go to the left, you correct this and boom, back to the left. Thought it was me being new, but after reading the reviews again, I see it is the kayak. Don't want to spend all of my energy correcting a turn and not getting across the lake.

Rhythm
I have had this boat for about 5 months and really enjoy it. Have used it to go down several rivers with easy rapids. Boat is pretty manuverable. Also used on ponds and lakes and it handles great.
