Basic tooling to relace old gloves. Leather lacing provided little stiff and would prefer not be so dry, making it hard to knot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by RSheriff Tool is useless
Leather lace material is decent but not the best quality. The threading tool is basically worthless though. The slot is too small and the leather won't fit without significant trimming. It's made of cheap metal so if you try to open the slot up a bit, the end breaks off. Better to use a simple wire...why do they package junk like this???

Rated 3 out of 5 by Rod Not as Easy to Use
I used this kit and the other kit offered at Rawlings. For me, the other kit is easier to use. It has the lace already attached to a wire which is flexible enough to thread thru wholes in the glove and the lace stays attached thru the entire process of relacing. (No need to re-attach the lace after each whole.) This kit is stiff, making it difficult to thread thru the wholes in the glove and you have to remove and re-insert the lace after each whole.
FYI - The lace is only 48" long. I needed 4 kits to completely re-lace an infielders baseball glove which is smaller than most other gloves.

Picked up this kit to fix up an old glove, got it on sale for 3.00. Plenty of leather to get the job done

I use to re lace my gloves in high school and college. The tool I had then was much better than this one and that one I had picked up a drug store. It does the job, but the attention to detail is lacking.

Was annoying to figure out how to keep the material in the tool. When ur half way done it becomes easy. Make sure to flatten the rawhide a little at the end. Also kinda twist the tool while pullin the rawhide through ur glove.

When a lace on my mitt broke, I thought I might have to buy a new mitt. But I looked online for where I might get some rawhide to repair it, and I discovered that Dick's not only had rawhide, but this kit. So I went over, and found they had the kit in stock, and I was able to repair my mitt in under a half an hour. I saved al lot of money not having to buy a new mitt.
