Purchased this today at Dicks in Albany. I have had decent luck with Field and Stream branded products and I was hoping to save a few bucks with this. Construction is flimsy at best, no instructions. Cannot handle recoil. Needs constant re-adjustment. What a waste of 60.00

Rated 4 out of 5 by Butch & Sundance Field & Stream Deluxe Shooting Rest
I bought this shooting rest in order to sight in my crossbow, rifles and shotguns. I comparing the other products that were offered on the shelf, this was a much better but for the money than the others. There were more adjustment features with this and the leveling system was a bit plus when getting things lined up to sight in the scopes. Your own tools are required for assembly, but for most people who will be buying this the necessary tools should be in your garage or tool box. Make the extra effort to make things snug when assembling. Since it is all steel construction, this will be a durable tool for you to use either at home for maintenance or out at the range. Setup on it is relatively fast and it is easy to transport.

No assembly instructions.
Does not hold rifle steady nor on target.
Requires re-adjustment after each shot.
Total waste of money.

When I opened the box I realized there was no instructions and a lot of parts...luckily I was able to finally figure it out and the rest actually functioned well.I would have given four stars if instructions were included.

I was at the range with my new rifle and another member of the club was nice enough to let me borrow his Caldwell Lead Sled rifle rest and It really helped to get my new scope sited in at 100 yards... I have a BDC scope so I wanted to get it sighted in at 200 yards as well. Went to the store to pick up the lead sled, and saw that it was almost $200 which is way more than I wanted to spend on a rest, so I started looking at more cost effective alternatives. Saw the Field and Stream for $59 and figured it would do the trick. Bad thought... It didn't go together very easy, it is cheaply made, doesn't hold the rifle square, and it jumps all over when you shoot. Bottom line, don't waste your money on this rest, spend the extra money on a better one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Awasos Where are all the parts?????
I received this shooting rest a few years ago and am missing the front bag and other parts. I have been looking online to find the parts now and have found other people with the same problem I have. And still even if I had all of the parts it does seem to me that it is over priced.
So I guess I will go parts hunting.
Well, That is my opinion of the rest.

We have always wanted to have one to help with target practicing and getting use to a new gun. It is great! Very light weight and durable. Really like it.
