The perfect meal for extreme hikers Mountain house is everything you want in a ready meal. They weight next to nothing, pack easily, taste incredible and preparation and clean up are flawless. I do a lot of "off the grid" hiking so I have to pack well and these meals are at the top of my list. As long as you balance the sodium content with plenty of fluids you shouldn't have an issues. Mountain House Beef Stroganoff w/noodles I bought this just to see how MH freeze-dried foods were, compared to MREs. Just add hot water and it's ready(cold can be used in a pinch but I imagine that it wouldn't taste the same). I found it to taste very good, as well as my two older children(this is saying something as my daughter is a picky eater). I would definitely by this again. Gret stuff! June 4, 2012

Enough for two people Try this product for the first time and found it to be tasty and filling. All I needed to add was hot water and wait a few minutes. It comes in a lite sturdy package if you are backpacking. I was very pleased with the product. May 14, 2012
