Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for camping or canoeing. It worked well for dinner after canoeing all day. Easy to prepare and clean up. November 3, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Pretty good in a pinch. You definitely need to mix this meal thoroughly after pouring the water. Otherwise the powdered flavor mix settles in the bottom. Still, all in all tasted decently and hit the spot. October 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nothing like a hot lasagna at the end of the trail! Recently I was hiking along a section of trail in the John Muir Wilderness near Big Pine, CA. After hiking the entire day and reaching the spot I was going to camp along a turquoise lake at 10,000 foot elevation, I boiled some water and poured it into the lasagna pouch. In the time it took to pitch my tent and set up my small little campsite, the meal was done and I was ready to enjoy a warm meal in the quiet wilderness. These meals are perfect for long hikes into the great outdoors. They weigh next to nothing, and are packaged in a durable bag that you can eat directly out of. The pouch is also a great trash bag for hiking your waste back out off the trail! October 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by You'd never know it was "camp food!" The girlfriend and I never go in to the backcountry with out it! Tastes just like it does if you made it in the kitchen! It suggests to leave it stand after adding the boiling water and stirring for about 4 minutes then stir again and let sit for another 8 minutes. Honestly though, it's dehydrated, let it really cook in the bag for about another 5 minutes after so it completely re-hydrates! (and be sure to stir it up well!) Definitely worth the wait. Delicious meal to replenish you after a long day of hiking! September 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfort food The texture and flavor are all spot on. Doesn't seem freeze dried at all. September 9, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Oilfield Lifesaver I work in the Eagleford and am regularly hundreds of miles from anything, this is not only an easy way to get a hot mean but it is amazingly good. i would love to try more different ones as soon as i get back to civilization!!!!! 10stars February 24, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pritty good for a dehidrated meal. I took this product out with me when I went camping for 4 days 3 nights out at false Cape State park. For those that don't know it is fairy secluded, and once you get in there is little to know access of shops to by supplies from. Anyway, I took this product in hopes of making a meat out of it. It was actually perfect for what I needed it for. These mountain house packs are very light, require only warm water to prepare and the taste...they are about as good as chef boyardee raviolis. Not 5 star food but definitely hits the spot after hiking all day. The problem comes in at the cost really, $8 to $11 dollars per pack! I don't have much of a budget. I had to buy 2 a week for 3 weeks just to get enough for the trip. Anyway, great product. September 27, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by A little disappointed in this one. I have had several Mountain House meals and this one fell short of the others. It was a lot blander than the others. I love the brand but not this particular meal. September 16, 2014
