Rated 4 out of 5 by Tasty and filling Bought this for Bikepacking in Maine's Baxter State Park. Bulk AND weight were important. I repackaged this meal by opening it, putting it in a ziploc, pressing the air out, and closing the Ziploc. It can be re-packaged much much smaller than the original commercial packaging. Cooking time is about 10 minutes for the noodles to absorb the water (not counting boiling time). The seasoning mix is balanced and not too salty for my palate. I are it out of my cook pot - not the original packaging as recommend. As a result, I had to clean my pot. The faux cheese (orange?) was a bit persistant to cleaning and took some elbow grease to get out of the pot. This package is "two servings" and might actually serve two - but I ate it all myself. Rated 5 out of 5 by Tastes like Mom used to make :) My GF and I used this product at 12K ft backpacking in the back country and its was SUPER easy to make and it tastes just like the real thing. She was very satisfied and happy that it was sooooo tasty after our long day of hiking. July 9, 2012

Rated 1 out of 5 by Tasted good but made us both sick We stopped in and purchased one of these before a backpacking trip. After getting camp set up we boiled the water and allowed the boiling water to sit in the bag for the appropriate amount of time plus 4 minutes. It tasted really good but we were throwing up in the middle of the night. It was the only thing we had really eaten aside from some granola and fruit..... We will not be purchasing this brand again October 8, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Oilfield Lifesaver I work in the Eagleford and am regularly hundreds of miles from anything, this is not only an easy way to get a hot mean but it is amazingly good. i would love to try more different ones as soon as i get back to civilization!!!!! 10stars February 24, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pritty good for a dehidrated meal. I took this product out with me when I went camping for 4 days 3 nights out at false Cape State park. For those that don't know it is fairy secluded, and once you get in there is little to know access of shops to by supplies from. Anyway, I took this product in hopes of making a meat out of it. It was actually perfect for what I needed it for. These mountain house packs are very light, require only warm water to prepare and the taste...they are about as good as chef boyardee raviolis. Not 5 star food but definitely hits the spot after hiking all day. The problem comes in at the cost really, $8 to $11 dollars per pack! I don't have much of a budget. I had to buy 2 a week for 3 weeks just to get enough for the trip. Anyway, great product. September 27, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by A little disappointed in this one. I have had several Mountain House meals and this one fell short of the others. It was a lot blander than the others. I love the brand but not this particular meal. September 16, 2014
