Excellent reel for the price! I recently purchased the Size 10 reel in this line coupled with a Field & Stream Medium/Light 6' rod. For the price, the reel is of excellent quality with a smooth retrieve. The reel body is solidly made and has a comforting heft to it. Engageing the reel after the cast is a little rough, but I hope this will smooth out with wear. While its certainly no $300 reel, the 4 pounders (bass) I've caught on it don't seem to mind! As for other comments on here about problems with spooling and tangles, I haven't experience that at all. With the rod, a nice light combo for about $50 that does the job very well! March 11, 2013
Not worth the trouble Made the mistake of buying two of these for may son and his friend to surf fish with me. Reel was rough at first then the anti-reverse didn't work both reels functioned like this , first fish reel froze up. Don't waste your money February 28, 2013

This product looked great and the right size for salt water shore fishing. I bought this product for shore fishing at the beach. The reel casts great and is smooth . The retrieve is great and handles 3 ounce weights with ease. After the fifth day of fishing with it, the bail assembly broke where the bail is screwed into the lifter. That screw is small for the pressure that is put on it, as this is where the line rest when having a fish on. The line rest was lost in the sand and the screw is stripped and will not tighten. To top it all, Zebco wants me to pay for return shipping insured. This would be more than the reel is worth. DON"T BUY THIS REEL. IT IS NOT WORTH IT. November 5, 2012
Reel Good I bought this reel to replace an older reel. I was interested in it because it came with line already on it. The action of reel is great. Its quiet and works smoothly. The line on the other was too weak for my use. After loosing several lures to being fouled up and line breaking to retrieve the lure, I replaced the line with a higher strength line. October 19, 2012
a value Bought this looking for an all around reel.Has proved itself well above my expectations.Like the compact size but yet big performance.The line included so so but wouldn't know what cajin line was like unless it had come with the reel.It's a good weight also for the size as well as speed.
