Haul bikes to vacations
This is a very easy to use bike rack tilts down so that i can get into the bed of the truck with ease. Bike mount on the rack very easy. the only thing that is not smooth is mounting it on the hitch it is bolted on to the Hitch which makes it a little slow to mount to the car

Yakima Double Down II
This was awful. We even spent almost 1 1/2 hours in the store. The sales person and manager were very nice, but the product is not good. We have a men's bike, a women's bike, and two children's bikes that are bigger than 20 inches. The only bike that fit was the men's bike. Does not hold four bikes, I guess unless they are men's bikes. Very disappointing.

Gets the job done
It's hard to fit 4 bicycles, more like 3, and the rack does wiggle a bit at the bottom. It does take some creativity to load even 2 bikes on it without the adapter bar. Eventually I managed to load 2 adult bikes and a kid-trailer bike on it and it's rather stable even when the car is travelling at 70mph on a highway. The downside is that it's quite heavy. Reliability is unknown because I've only used it for 1 trip; you can't use it for any kids-sized bicycles even with adapter bar because the handles are too wide.

Good for regular bikes
This rack was easy to install. It works great for my road, hybrid, and touring bikes. It is difficult to get my kids motocross bikes on. It was a real struggle to get three of those bikes on for a trip we took.

Great four bike carrier
I've been very happy with the Yakima Double Down carrier. I've used it twice in the two weeks since I bought it to haul four adult sized bikes. The carrier is very easy and quick to connect to my hitch receiver and holds the bikes very securely. I shopped around before buying this carrier and the Yakima carrier was by far the highest quality and best value for the money.

easy operation
This is a great product, the installation and assembly were very easy. It also stores away with minimal space and effort. The only thing that it did not include was a hitch pin shaft lock. I think for the price it should have come with, like the one step down version of this product does.

Best rack for the money
Has all the features of racks costing twice as much.Tilt back allows for the tailgate to be lowered completely and for a hatch back to be raised.Even fit our vehicle with a rear mounted spare tire. Love it [...]
