Yakima Standard Foam Block Kayak Rack 3.5 5 22 22
Kayak Carrier We purchased our first Kayak and all the accessories, paddle, life vest, and roof carrier and this product failed. We followed the instructuctions and had about a 60 mile drive to get our new Kayak home, upon arrival we discovered the foam had split in half almost as though it had been dried out and was brittle so now the $40 dollars we spent is for nothing and we must look for another carrier. I would NOT recommend this product for use as we should have just thrown our money out the window after breaking with one use!!! April 23, 2013
Basic kayak transportation If you need to securely strap your kayak to your car's roof, but don't have a roof rack, this will get the job done. But I would suggest a roof rack if at all possible! April 23, 2013
canoe car rack Easy and effective. Works great. It took me 10 min to get the canoe in the car and strapped down by myself. March 19, 2013
functional and relatively inexpensive This product ended up being better than I expected from the package. Set up takes about t 10 minutes and it stores in my trunk no problem. For the Price it's a great way to carry my boat without a luggage rack on my roof. February 27, 2013
kayak transportation Easy to use and keeps kayak safely attached to roof when traveling. October 20, 2012
Great Product I have a Saturn 3-door coupe and there are no roof racks available for it, so I bought the Yakima Blocks to haul my kayaks. They work perfectly. I've traveled on the freeway at normal speeds (65mph+) without issue and have left the kayak mounted for days at a time between use. The one thing I did do, was use after-market wratchet straps that I already had to secure the bow/stern. With this change, the boat never moves once ssecured. September 10, 2012
Who needs a luggage rack? Used this on our 2005 Ford Taurus to haul our kayak 20 miles and back. Worked great! Great price for the service! No need to go expensive, this worked great, and one person can handle this job. August 2, 2012
Great for what i needed it for. Easy and fast to use. I only go on small trips with my kayak, but it works great for what I use it for. July 23, 2012
For its price, it delivers I needed a way to secure my newly purchased kayak on roof of my sedan. I was ready to buy an expensive kit, but my son said that the Yakima Standard Kayak Foam Blocks would do the trick. He was right. Of course, I still am learning to use the foam blocks and belts, but I'll be proficient soon. My son has been taking care of securing the kayak, but now I know that I'll be able to do it.
