Not good for heavier fish I have had three of these. They are fine for small northerns, but I have had them lock up on 30"+ Northerns or Muskies. It is very frustrating because they lock up and won't allow you to easily release the fish. They are easy to use and the concept is good, but be cautious if you plan on using them for larger fish. This product will KILL FISH I have had nothing but bad luck with this tool...It does not open easy or smoothly and it tears fish up. I used it on ONE fish and stopped because of the massive HOLE it tore in the lower mouth of the fish. AWFUL AWFUL gripper. should be taken off the market July 31, 2012

Nice improvement I've used the Berkley big game lip grip with good success over the years. Every now and then a big fish would twist the jaws and require some tuning. Alas...a big catfish ripped them out of my hand, blew out the bottom of the net, and snapped my 50lb test. So enter the F&S Big Game Grip. It feels sooo much better in the hand. It's locked well on the few fish I've caught so far. I have far more confidence in this, than in the other product. I would for sure buy again! April 16, 2012
Works ok for smaller fish Worked ok for smaller pike and musky, but jaw grips broke on 48" musky. We boated the fish luckily, but the grips wouldn't open after the fish thrashed around. It was still worth the [$] though because I don't know what we would have done without it as we didn't have gloves or anything. October 29, 2011
