I build custom rod that take 2 days or so to build and I have always used st croix blanks but i was at dicks the other day and saw a st croix swim bait rod for 129.00, and ibought it and the first day i used it i got an 6 lb bass in the lilly pads,and he did not stand a chance of getting off. keep up the good work st croix

Great Rod
I have the Mojo Bass "spinnerbait" model. Although I use it to throw just about anything in my box. Well balanced, easy to fish all day. Enough backbone to set the hook everytime...never fails me. I would highly recommend this rod. Buy it, you wont be disappointed.

Tale of two rods
I wanted upgrades on 6' 6" Daiwa fishing rods 5 years old. I thought the longer the rod the longer the cast. I also have the Triumph spinning reel medium-fast 6'6, but I like the look and feel of the Mojo rods. Bought the biggest one available, 7'6" "pitching" rod MH moderate with a Quantum Escalade reel for pads and grass cover. Used it for two weeks and it has enough backbone to yank a 5 pound bass through 6 feet of lily pads. But it got heavy after a couple of hours. Then I bought the 7 foot "spinnerbait" with MH fast action for cranks, spinners, and frogs. It casts just as long as the 7'6' rod and is lighter. The fast action tip means less effort to cast and I used it for 8 hours. Both are great with braided line with no friction on the eyelets. I prefer cork handles and wish the grips were completely covered, but when I make casts now, I have better torgue to get an extra 15 feet. If I did it again, I would buy the 7 foot rod first because it has more versatility with lures and takes less effort to fish.

good technique specific rod
If you are a name brand hunter but consider yourself to be a value based or bargain shopper this may be the rod for you. These ST Croix rods are a steal at under $100. from the premium grips to the rod fit and finish this rod has it all and best of all they are technique specific meaning that finding the right rod action for the type of fishing that you are doing or are going to do is made for you. This does not mean that you have to use a cranking rod for crankbaits only as it can be used for any application requiring a moderate action, but it is consideredd by ST Croix to be best suited for this application. All around great rod from St Croix.
