Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very sensitive rod I use this rod as my crankbait and misc. setup. It is very sensitive and super light. I went with the medium action and casting is great--very far with good accuracy. I also own a St. Croix Premier and the Triumph is very comparable. I highly recommend St. Croix rods--but no need to buy the most expensive ones they sell. Between the Triumph and the Premier, you're set. September 26, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by I have 6 St. Croix rods St Croix builds a very sensitive rod...i have 4 rods for Bass Fishing and 4 rods i use up on Lake Erie for Walleye's..i feel the bite alot quicker April 30, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Value For A St Croix Any body who buys this St Croix rod can't go wrong. Compared w/ the Premier and the Mojo rods are basically the same in a rod build, w/ only the price difference. Premier made in the USA (reason for higher cost, good reason though#, Mojo rods w/ a split handle #made in Mexico), still higher cost. Look @ the components. I fished the Triumphs in bass tournaments and caught big hybrid bass w/ the TRC70MHF w/o any problems @ all. The guides also align on the spine of the rod fine, giving you better control of the cast, and not torquing in a way that you're not fighting the rod as well while fighting fish. March 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great rod for the price. Love everything about this rod. The quality is superb and the feel when using it is unmatched. You cannot go wrong with this series (Triumph) by St. Croix. June 12, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Made in China or Mexico? I have two of theses rods one made in China one made in Mexico. The older rods are made in China and the newer models in Mexico. Look closely at the end of the cork rod butt to determine where they were made. There are still some of the Chinese made rods on store shelves and they are better built rods. The spacing, wrapping and taper of the guides are better on the rods made in China. They also cast entirely different. Perhaps this was a way of cutting cost on this rod but the retail price did not come down. June 6, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by A great product at an affordable price This is my second St. Croix rod and I love both of them. They are well built. They perform well in their fast action and performance while jigging and trolling. June 10, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I would buy this item again and again Best rod for the value with a great warranty June 4, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Way Better Options For the price point, spend an extra 10 bucks and get a 13 Fishing Black Omen at TW. The Black Omen is the best rod for $100 and way better than even the St Croix Rage. The Triumph is an ok rod in every category. It has ok sensitivity, ok loading during cast, and the bulky handle eliminates techniques such as jerkbaits and topwater. Read the reviews from people over 18 and do the research but do not waste your money on this rod. May 11, 2014
