St. Croix Triumph Spinning Rods
This is a great rod for speckled trout and redfish. This was my first time using it. It (TRS66MF pole) is paired with a shimano stratic ci4 2500, suffix 832 (10lb equivilence to mono). Handeled 50 speckled trout and 8 redfish with ease. 3 of the redfish were over 25lbs and it handled them just fine. Max size reel I would use with this rod is a "4000". Great setting power and flexibility. Also very light. I will leave another review if I have any issues with this product. Hope this was helpful.

Broke before the line.
Not very durable. Lasted me around 20 days fishing before a 3lb bass snapped it. Warrentee would cost $30 just to have them look at it and decide if it was their defect.

Just like any St. Croix
I own 5 St.Croix and they have yet to let me down. I love this Triumph, in 7' ML, its great for finesse. I highly suggest this to anyone, it'll never break and you'll catch even the lightest biting fish with its sensitivity.

Just not a better rod for the price
I own 2 one is a 5ft. UL and the other is a 6'6" medium fast. I bought both this year but plan to go tomorrow to purchase a 6ft. as these rods are well worth the price and don't forget the free St. Croix hooded sweat shirt that is also of good quality. Haven't caught any fish yet as the water has been extremely muddy. I have Pleuger reels on both with 6lb. mono on the UL and 30LB. braid on the other and they cast beautifully. Highly recommended.

Rods don't get any better than this!!!
I use this rod with 4lb test line for Trout & Small mouth bass in the local creeks. Clearly the most sensitive and accurate casting rod I've ever owned. I'ts perfectly balanced and light weight, definitely worth the extra money. When you hook a fish no matter the size you feel the fight all the way through the rod not just the top section, something other rods I've used are lacking!
