Rated 4 out of 5 by Vantageman150 Great rod for the price
This rod performs well for coming in at under $100. I have the 7 6 ml. Real nice inshore rod for the price.

by 665 Amazing Action and Castability - Handles Larger Fish Very Well
I own the 7' MLF 4-10lb and have used it for throwing both plastics and hardbaits for both river and reservoir fishing.
I have caught everything from trophy sized smallmouths in the reservoir to big walleye and stripers in the (Delaware) river despite the small size of this rod.
This light rod with 6 or 8 lb mono handles big fish like a champ and along with my Shimano Symetre 6-10lb reel I have had some of the best freshwater fights of my life. I have never lost a big one on this rod. It holds the line tension perfectly and the casting on the 7 footer is great.
It is pretty pricey for most anglers, but you are getting an amazing product, highly recommended for the avid fisherman!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Willy Pretty to look at but lacks quality
Bought this in the past year and used it about 8 times. The night before a fishing tournament I snagged a 1/4 oz jig head on some reeds. Gave it a little twitch and the dang thing snapped about a foot from the tip. After reading the warranty, the cost to send it in is not really beneficial. I liked the rod and it felt good but I have never snapped a rod like that before. Not sure I really want another one.

I bought this rod specifically for trout fishing and have been extremely impressed with the feel and sensitivity. They are well balanced and even their light action rods have more backbone than similar rods I have used.

I fish out of a 14 ft kayak so I bought the 6 ft MF rod paired with a shimano reel and power pro 14lb line. Casts great and first outing landed several lmb and SMS biggest being 5lbs. I liked it so much I bought another one. It has the back bone and light weight I wanted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by md9963 Excellent Rod
I wanted a longer, heavier spinning rod for Willamette River chinook and steelhead, and found the St. Croix Triumph had a medium heavy 7'6" model. Just what I wanted! The rod is perfect: no defects or finish issues at all, has good back bone and lots of lifting power at the butt, is sensitive for the blank type and casts a mile. The blank has a great taper; thick at the handle to tame the beasts, with the guides alligned perfectly. I put a Daiwa Legalis 3000SH on it, making this set-up the best I have in the $160.00 range. You can't beat the price for a premium spinning rod. It is a better product than my Fenwick Silver Hawk. I highly recommend this rod.

very poor rod. I read a lot of people had trouble with the pole breaking but thought maybe it was inexperienced fisherman. To my shock and surprise first large mouth bite snapped it in half. lasted me 15 min. and I'm not a high tip hook setter.my drag was set light maybe around 4 pounds. thank good dicks took it back and now have wright & McGill micro honey comb with no problems.

This is a great rod for speckled trout and redfish. This was my first time using it. It (TRS66MF pole) is paired with a shimano stratic ci4 2500, suffix 832 (10lb equivilence to mono). Handeled 50 speckled trout and 8 redfish with ease. 3 of the redfish were over 25lbs and it handled them just fine. Max size reel I would use with this rod is a "4000". Great setting power and flexibility. Also very light. I will leave another review if I have any issues with this product. Hope this was helpful.

Not very durable. Lasted me around 20 days fishing before a 3lb bass snapped it. Warrentee would cost $30 just to have them look at it and decide if it was their defect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bass Man Just like any St. Croix
I own 5 St.Croix and they have yet to let me down. I love this Triumph, in 7' ML, its great for finesse. I highly suggest this to anyone, it'll never break and you'll catch even the lightest biting fish with its sensitivity.
