The Carbon Matrix™ drag system is constructed of a Carbon material that won't overheat and it provides an ultra-smooth drag and consistent drag pull. The three stainless steel roller bearings are corrosion-resistant and durable, while the six pin centrifugal brake allows you to brake with ease.

The work horse of all baitcast reels
This is a great reel for the price. Very robust and smooth. It's the work horse of all reels on the market. I don't know a fishing guide that doesn't own several of these.

Use for inshore fishing works awesome, drag will give out over time if you dont make sure to loosen up after every outing.

The workhorse of all baitcast reels
Been using Abu Garcia reels for years. They are truly the work horse of all reels on the market without the high inflated cost. I own many and keep buying more.

Best reel on the Planet!
I have been using these reels for over 30 years...and they still work! Tough as nails, and capable of casting very light our heavier lures. I recently bought a new C3550C and was delighted that it still had the feel of my old ones! I use these, mostly for bass fishing, and use medium heavy casting rods...perfect!
