Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 62 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great tent for the price; stands up over the test of time I have now had this tent 2 years and camp in it about one weekend a month. The inside room is perfect to sit up. I use it mostly for single camping, but sometimes there are two of us with our thermarests (I am 5' 8" and my husband is 6'). We both fit fine with adequate turning room. I have been in it during heavy rain, winds, and even hail once. It is very sturdy. The tent poles may not be "brand name" as some have pointed out, but 2 years of me banging them around and still have no complaints. I backpack and if you use the appropriate stakes, the weight is about average for a 2 man backpacking tent. One trip I got lazy and did not stake out the vestibule, and water poured under the tent on the ground cloth I had. I woke up and was on a water bed, but none got through the tent. Fast forward a year and a half later, made a similar mistake and water did come through the flooring. Lesson learned, I waterproofed it again, and no further issues. Maintenance is important. Zippers are easy and smooth. Love the option of doors on both sides. Cons: There is a lot of net on this tent. Wind can blow between the tent and the rain fly and come right in. Where the vestibules are, the cold just comes right over through the net. In the summer, the breeze is great. At 20 degrees, not so much. I would prefer a tent where the wall went up a little more, but haven't found one in my price range yet that is worth replacing this one. As for the reason I gave 5 stars. This tent has held up for me from novice camping to finally having a little experience. I cant replace it in this price range without sacrificing weight, room, and quality. November 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by nice tent We have used this tent on our vacation getaway and it has served us well. From the heat of Death Valley to freezing temperatures in Yosemite it kept us protected from the elements. It takes less time to set up and take down the tent than it takes to fold up the mats and bags. Wonderful tent! October 23, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by OK quality; good deal OK, here is the deal. This tent is not on the Marmot web site. This is because it is a special low-cost model...perhaps, made just for Dick's. It is not a first-rank Marmot tent which was discontinued, or anything like that. The second-rate issues I see after setting it up in my yard. The zippers and poles are no-name and feel cheezy. Just about all quality tents use YKK zippers; Quality tents have Easton, DAC, or such, poles. Marmot first-quality tents use DAC. So, this is a $150 tent which I got, delivered, for about 85. If it were a first-quality tent it would cost about 200; probably, available for 150. My use is very demanding, and I can't afford a broken pole or busted zipper. I guess buying the tent was a long shot. I'll probably return it. That said, the tent seems quite reasonable for a $150 tent. September 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing bang for the buck My daughter and I bought this while on a trip to the Smoky Mountains in 2011. We have used it every year since and all over the country. Contrary to what other people (who don't seem to have actually tested the tent in the field) have said, it sets up very easily. It is sturdy, waterproof and will hold up to the wind well. The directions are easy to follow and it is one of the roomiest two person tents that you will find almost anywhere. Look at the floor dimensions of almost every other two person tent and compare it to this one. You will be surprised. Some reviewers have been complaining about the features of this tent but for the price there is very little that even comes close. September 2, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice tent, but 5 inches shorter than advertised ! I like this tent- it is a great value for the money. However, the vestibules are very small and the length is 88 inches, not the advertised 93 inches. The aluminum poles appear to be of high enough quality to hold up. Also, there is no provision to tie down the ends of the fly (in-between the corner stakes) -- I'm sure they will be flapping like crazy in the wind if I don't add my own tie downs. August 21, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by Go-to Summer-time tent I am a little obsessive when it comes to tents. I own more tents than a person should. REI, Big Agnes, Kelty, Mountain Smith, Marmot, Sierra Designs. This is one of my favorite tents, though. The one thing I wish it had was top vents on the rainfly, but other than that, this tent is spacious, the easiest tent in the world to setup, not too heavy for my motorcycle camping and just fun, comfortable and well-made for the money. The tent body has a lot of mesh while the bathtub solid material comes up only a few inches (maybe six inches???). This makes it a very airy tent that does great on the hottest days of summer, allowing the maximum breeze to hit you. On cooler windy days, however, I find it is a little too much exposure. If there is a lot of wind, it easily gets under the rainfly, past the low bathtub solid material and into your tent. Again, if it's hot, this is the best-case scenario, but if it's cold, it can wear you down if you didn't pack a hearty enough sleeping bag. After using other tents, I have come to prefer the simplest pole system, and this seems to be it for the space. If you camp a lot, like I do, and you go on long trips where you have to setup and breakdown every day for multiple days, then you begin to see the advantage of this kind of tent's simplicity. Space to weight ratio, durability and simplicity it is difficult to find any tent in this price range (or even more expensive) that can compete with the Marmot Aspen. It will accommodate two people, but if I were taking two, I'd probably opt for the Aspen 3. However, with 57 inches of width, it is probably the single most spacious 2P tent on the market. 93 inches of length? Gotta love it! As a one person tent, with room to spare, you can opt to bring gear in or keep it in either vestibule. Two doors another big plus. Highly recommend this tent and should give it 5 stars, but I am probably the most severe critic of tents you will find for my requirements. To me, there is no 5 star tent out there because 5/5 means perfect. But if 5 stars means "excellent" like it does here, then it gets 5 stars.. It is an excellent summer-time tent. Solid, and ready to take on the elements. Not the lightest, but highly affordable and efficient if you don't need to count grams. December 20, 2014
