Future Beach Spirit 120 Kayak
Great for a beginner
I was in the market for a cheap starter kayak. I found this at my local Dicks for a good price (it was a return, previous customer thought there was a crack, but as it turns out there wasnt.) I have had no problems at all with this kayak. It is stable and comfortable. I was hesitant to give it only four stars because I find the storage space to be a little sparse. To give you an idea of the space; the dry storage can barely hold a softball. I bought a kayak rigging kit on Amazon and installed it on the back of the kayak, and use a dry bag along with it for more space.

Fabulous for small lake or lazy river
We've been looking several years for something like the Future Beach for our WI pothole lake but finding most out of our price range or not stable enough for older (or very young) users. This suits us both. Very easy to maneuver, even with a good 'chop' on the water. Mold plastic without any fancy accessories, but good enough for someone who has not had much experience with sit on kayaks. The only negative, if any, is durability. Paddling around and not paying attention, ran into a submerged metal stantion that took a pretty good gouge out of the convex bottom. Surface scratched but not enough to cause a leak, but caution is required against abuse around the pier or rocky beach.

Easy in and out......
This kayak is perfect for me/us..... very stable. I can stand on it as I get in and out. Bad knees makes it a challenge to crawl in and out of other kayaks. My husband has a prosthetic on one leg and the open sit on top is more comfortable for him and takes away the fear of being stuck. We use it on a small lake. I love to glide across the water and turtle watch. I think it's a great value and plan on getting another one.

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!
I wanted a sit on top kayak for fishing and I believe that I bought a good one. It tracks really good in the water and is very stable. The only downfall is the lack of storage, its barley enough to keep the registration in. Overall great kayak for the money two thumbs up.

Love this kayak!
This kayak is a great value for someone who is a beginner kayaker! It is easy to paddle and control, the balance is great and it is easy to carry! I highly recommend it and I am wanting to buy another one to have to take my friends, who don't own a kayak! Wonderful value!

Great little Kayak
I bought this kayak in December when Dick's had it sale. I finally got it our on the water a week ago. This boats tracks very straight. Can be a little difficult to turn, however, most folks probably like this feature. Great boat, great price.

It made a believer of me.
I didn't expect tons out of it but I was pleasantly surprised. This was my first boat and I easily got the hang of it. Within 100 yards or so I was comfortable enough to fish from it. I'm a bigger guy, 6'3 225 lbs. I had no problem getting in or out of the boat. It tracks to so well that tight turns can be tricky sometimes. I love the boat and couldn't begin to tell you how many fish I've caught from it.

Great buy for fishing.
Bought this kayak over the summer after using a sit-in for a year. It's great for fishing and easy to paddle. I like to hang my legs off the side and fish, and this boat is perfectly stable enough to do so. The lack of storage space was easily solved by adding a crate to the back and attaching it to the side carry handles and rear chord for stability. Keeps everything within reach.

I bought this kayak for my 12 year old son to use on the local river and on lakes we visit. He is a big kid, weighing around 160lbs. This kayak was perfect for him. He was able to manuver it well, even on still water. He is a novice kayaker and he immediately was able to keep a straight line paddling, and turn with ease. It's light weight enough for him to load and unload on his own. I also used it on a trip with some friends, letting one of my friends use my 12' sit-on-top kayak that cost $600. I weigh 250 lbs, and was far more comortable in this smaller kayak. The curved seat area is just right to lean back against, which I've found an issue in other sit on top kayaks. Overall, if you are just a hobby kayaker, and not trying to travel white water, and on a budget, this kayak is perfect
