Rated 4 out of 5áby Good on flat water Maiden voyage on still water was impressive. Good glide and excellent tracking. On the Yakima river: certainly not as maneuverable as a round bottom boat as eddies and roiling sharply turned craft due to hard chines of 'Dihedral' hull form. Moderate rapids 14" - 20" with 3'-4' frequency gathered enough water over the rails to require a stop on the shore to drain. (occasional bailing took care of on board water thereafter. All in all a great little craft with good value! August 15, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5áby Great First Kayak 4/5 because I DO NOT believe in a perfect product. That being said... I've been wanting to purchase a kayak for about an year now and after doing quite a bit of research on them, I decided to go with the Future Beach Trophy 126 because it suited my needs without putting a huge dent in my bank account. The day after I bought it a buddy and I went on a kayak/camping trip. Went out to a lake north of Dallas and loaded all our gear in the kayaks and found an island on the lake to camp at for the night. It was rather windy that day due to a cold front moving in and all of the other boats on the water but this kayak handled fairly well. Not once did I feel nervous about flipping out and losing all of my gear I was carrying (cooler, fishing poles, tackle, hammock, etc...) I would recommend dropping an extra $20-30 and get a nicer paddle. My friend bought the cheapest one he could find and ended up with not nasty blisters. I bought a fiberglass one and after 8+ hours on the water, not a single one. Getting in and out of this was a lot easier than I was expecting. I could stand up in it completely without tipping and turn around and then sit down in it. My only issue with this and it was more of a user mistake than the kayak but one of my fishing poles I took out had a very short handle on it. The pole was about 4'6' so when I got caught up in a little brush, the pole got snagged on something and next thing I knew it was gone. Fortunately I always take an extra fishing pole but I was still pretty salty about losing a fishing pole. That being said, for the rest of the trip I kept my pole in the cockpit with me just to make sure I didn't lose another one. I'm going to be looking into some way to secure my fishing pole in the rod holder while I'm on the move so it isn' in the cockpit with me anymore. I didn't have any issue with the waterproof hatch taking on water but I'm skeptical of anything that is marketed as "waterproof" I purchased a drybag to put other things in that I didn't want to get wet and then put it in the dry hatch. I also purchased a waterproof case for my iphone for obvious reasons. The kayak weighs I think 53 lbs? I'm 5'7" and 130lbs wet so not a big person by any means but I can still get this in and out of my truck with no issue at all. The seat wasn't terrible. I didn't really have any issues with being sore after the trip unlike my friend who bought a different kayak from Academy but I think I'm going to upgrade my seat because it isn't that thick of a seat. Overall I am happy with my purchase and would do buy it again if I had too. Hope this helps anyone looking to purchase this kayak! August 14, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5áby Perfect for beginners We purchased three of these kayaks. We have a local creek that we love to take the day and float down. These kayaks have great balance and are very stable. We purchased a SunDolphin for my daughter in law and it was a huge piece of garbage that was quickly returned. The minute we got it in the water you knew that you were never going to make a three hour ride without tipping out...and sure enough both myself and my daughter in law tipped over, and we both have a good amount of experience. These kayaks have a nice dry storage compartment in the front. If your going to get into the sport, buy a Future Beach Trophy Kayak! July 26, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5áby My first kayak For the money it is a good buy. I am 63 years old, 5'10'' and 190 lb. I found it to be a good fit to me and for my level of confidents too be very stable in lite chop and wind. Although it has two storage hatches, only the front is molded in one shallow piece and is water tight. The back hatch however is just an open cavity to the rear of the kayak and so the water that enters the cockpit gets anything in it wet. July 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Awesome fishing kayak This was my first kayak and I needed a stable one for fishing. It's perfect besides being a little too heavy for me. Already has rod holder installed July 18, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5áby Well worth it Yup my first kayak. After weeks of research for a camping yak I narrowed it down to 3 and the Trophy 126 came out on top. After searching various outfitters Dicks sporting goods was the closest in Washington, Missouri. Customer service was excellent, yes I called with many many questions and they were very helpful ( ordered online and picked up at the store ) the Process was very easy with no hassle they offered to help load the kayak as well. I strapped her down and on a kia sole rooftop and I44 south west bound. I did a more thorough inspection at the house all the screws were tight and no cracks there was still some manufacturer shavings in the hull but everything was good. Off to a local lake ( Shawnee Mac lakes ) for a test run. Easy to load and unload from a 6in lifted Dodge truck and I used the boat ramp. I tested bow, stern, and port entry and exit very stable and my feet stayed dry. Padded out and rocked to almost rolling and she righted without any effort. Turns ,banks ,stops, reverse, pitching as hard and fast as my 150lb 5'6" 37 year old body could muster and smiled. After two hours I had to readjust the back rest yes my only issue but this can be fixed. After forcing my self to shore and a port dismount loaded her up strapped her down and back to the house. Dried her off than proceed to pack her with my backpacking gear and I am figuring at least 90L of stern storage. And I will be adding a bulkhead for dry storage and sealing the rod holders + modding or upgrading the backrest. I was a bit undecided about this kayak and I am yet to challenge the Current River or The Merrimack River but she turns and stops as well as her wide hull should be just fine for yakcamping. The Future Beach Trophy 126 is well worth the price and the 22% discount. July 3, 2016
