My kid has braces and wears a mouthguard for hockey. Certainly not the company's fault, but he chews through one about every other month, and so we end up buying 3-4 of these a season. They're about $22 at my local Dick's, and so far as I can tell, they work great--kid is comfortable, wears the darn thing willingly, and hasn't lost any teeth or damaged his braces or gotten a concussion.
My gripe is, this is like 2 oz of silicone--why does it have to cost so much? Or why can't I buy a six-pack of them?

This is the best mouthguard for braces that I have found. I have tried three different types. If you have braces and play a contact sport buy this mouthguard.

I purchased this for my son for wrestling. The flexibility of the silicone makes it more comfortable than some of the others. My son's only complaint is that it's hard to breathe with it in. There are holes in the front that allow air movement but he's still adjusting to breathing with the mouth guard in. It definitely helps protect his braces though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RDub Great mouth piece...
My daughter just got braces, and this has been the perfect mouthpiece for her soccer season. She plays on 2 club teams so she uses it alot. She loves the way it is designed to grip the top teeth without affecting her braces and the over all comfort and breathabilty. Dad likes that it was useable straight out of the package: no boiling required. The staff at the Washington Pa store were great as we called ahead and they held the very last one they had until we got there before practice. I will say the guy in the hunting lodge was sort of a dick when I asked him if they had any .22LR ammo on hand. I know there is a shortage of it pal, but you could at least be nice when answering my simple, legit question....... Which you were not!! But the mouth piece...... Well worth the money!!!!!!!

The adult mouth peice did not fit. It was too big even though it said for 12+. Normally I would not return something that has been opened like this but since it was $23 I did return it to get the youth size. I couldn't waste $23. Dick's asked no question about returning it so I appreciated that.

A little bulky in the beginning. But once you get used to it definitely serves its purpose. Wish they made one where you could talk better. Hard to call out plays.
