Rated 5 out of 5 by Richie An excellent knife I use it in the back woods of the Berkshires and it does a great job. Its tough as nails and keeps a sharp edge.It can slice off small branches and can be hit on the back with another stick to make a small axe like cut..just like Bear Grylls September 10, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Big Bear Nice Bowie. I am a bigger person, and i love Bowie knives, I am a traditional hunter, i use recurve for all hunting, and this bowie knife from winchester is a great all around knife. The handle is a perfect fit for us bigger guys hands, the weight is perfect at just a little over a pound the blade is razor sharp out of the package, you can shave the hair off your arm with it. i did. wonderful knife to have for hunting or camping, it has quickly and almost over night, became my favorite knife. Buy it you will not be dissapoointed. The sheath that comes with it is no slouch eaither, double stitched ballistic nylon, with plastic insert. hangs nice and not cumbersome. Like i said absolutely a wonderful knife. July 7, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by UAVpilot Great knife Not the top of the line by any means, but still a nice knife. Best for display but surely can be used for all things a knife is used for. I don't think it would stand up to too much throwing. Nice and showy...I like it. August 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Evan Great bowie for a beginner. This was my first standard bowie knife, and I must say I'm vary satisfied with the overall quality of it. As a knife collector, I look for anything that catches my eye. The first time I lay eyes on this beautiful piece, I thought to myself that it was nothing more than a display piece, but I bought it anyway because of its affordability. After constant stress testing, I was quickly proven wrong. This bad blade managed to chop a six inch log in half as if it were pretending to be an axe! Only the finest bowies could do such a thing without failure, and overall, this will make a nice survival knife. It keeps an edge very well, but the handle is a bit too smooth for my tastes. A quick wrapping of paracord quickly fixed that problem, and now it has a perfect grip. The sheath is your basic nylon with plastic insert, so don't expect anything fancy. In summery, if you like big powerful bowies, this knife is surely a great addition to your collection. May 5, 2011

Rated 5 out of 5 by Outdoorsman Doesnt get any better! I saw this in the store and felt it was calling to me. It is extremely well built from tip to but. Very sharp. The Shealth has a saftey snaps on it so no worries in the field either. May 18, 2010
