I purchased this mat and it was barely usable. The yoga instructor suggested that I get a yoga towel to place over it as it moved and did not remain stationary. After that one class, I returned the mat. It was a huge disappointment as it was my favorite color, purple.
I will be doing my research prior to my next purchase of a yoga mat.

I bought this mat because it was a good make and it was on offer as some of the mats were slightly disclored. I compared the stickiness of the mats in the store and decided this was the best Dicks had so I bought it. Within a minute of doing the beginning of the sun salutation routine I started to slip and it didn't stop. This is a very bad mat, don't buy it, it's a waste of your time because you'll just have to return it.

Let me start by saying that this is the first negative review I have ever posted, I am just that dissatisfied with this mat. I am in yoga teacher training and am on my mat 4-5 times per week taking mostly hot vinyasa yoga classes.
I purchased this mat about 2-3 months ago. The first thing you will notice is the intense rubber smell that even after 2-3 months of washing it several times and wiping it with Apple Cider Vinegar was still quite strong.
Next is it's heavy and flimsy shape, it is really hard to transport back and forth to class.
Finally, and most importantly, if you sweat even a little bit it turns into a slip and slide, making your yoga practice harder and more dangerous.

I bout this mat for my daughter-in-law. She teaches Yoga. She specifically wanted the Manduka. I ordered on line with a salesperson at Dicks. All went well. Received the mat in time for her birthday. She loves it!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Daniel Slippery when not wet.
I've been meaning to return this product, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I already owned a regular Gaiam yoga mat, but it gets slippery when my hands and feet get sweaty. The Manduka EKO mat looked like it had a different material and construction that might not get as slippery. My assumption was incorrect. This product is slippery even before my hands and feet get sweaty. I tried flipping the mat over thinking that maybe I had it upside-down, but the bottom side was even more slippery. The product is basically unusable and dangerous.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Yogi Great purchase!
I bought the mat because I like the subtle print and it is just at my price point and is made by a well known yoga brand. I am new to yoga and I think it is a good starter mat for beginners like me. I gave it 4 stars because I have only used it once and not sure how it will hold up after several uses. But so far, I can say it is a great value for the sale price I got it for.

I like this mat, great quality and value! I like how it can be used bare foot, don't slide off it, your feet stay in place so I am able to do the exercises on the stability ball.

this mat has real good grip! It rolls up tight and is very compact. doesn't have a bad smell like some mats do and is very durable! Thick enough for comfort, but not to thick for balancing poses!
