I needed a small bow for my son, so I bought this bow do to price. Talk a bout a cheap bow that doesnt last,,,,this is it!! Quiver was so cheap it keeps fallin off, sight is junk! But most of all, after a few months the bow began to bent in the shape of a "C"!! Yes, a C, do to the cheap made riser, then string tension began to deform the riser!!!! Bigest waste of money I never bought!!! Honestly, I have never written a reveiw before, but I was so dissapointed in this bow I felt I need to warn other!!!

Picked this up for my 5 yr old even though he is not the recommended age. It is the only bow I could find that he could pull back. Although he still has a little trouble with the draw, he is still pretty accurate. It is the perfect bow to teach him the fundamentals and mechanic without spending too much. The reason I'm not giving it five stars is because I have already had to super glue an arrow & bow part back together.

This bow has been fantastic for introducing my daughter to archery. The arrow rest and quiver are a bit flimsy and I can easily see how a kid could break the rest on the first shot. Just like some real arrow rest the arrow has to be lined up the correct way before firing or the fletching will hit the rest and likely break it. In my opinion this is a good thing because it allows me to teach my daughter something she will need to know when she moves up to a bigger bow! While teaching her how to use the bow I had to remind her often to make sure the black "feather" was on top so I imagine an unsupervised kid or parent that doesn't practice archery could easily break it on the first shot. My only complaint so far is that the "plugs" that hold the quiver in have to be repositioned after each shot but that's an easy fix. All in all a fantastic first bow for the money.

I was so excited to purchase this for my son for Christmas. My son opened up the box and was ecstatic to see the bow and arrows! We went into our back yard woods and tried it. The arrow feeder broke in the second try. We went back to Dick's and exchanged it for an upgraded bow and arrow set. Please don't buy this set because you will most likely be headed back to DSG to either return or exchange it!

Bought two as gifts for 9 & 10 year old grandsons. First bow guide broke on second shot. Second bow guide cracked on 5th shot. Knock broke on first shot and tip broke on second arrow after third shot. After a 10 minute outing at a foam target took the bows back for refunds.

I should have read the reviews prior to the purchase. Eight year old daughter used it less than five times before the "whisker biscuit" broke completly off. Seems to be a common problem based on previous reviews.
Return was easy and simple.

This bow was a good choice for my 6 yr. old nephew. Seems sturdy. He loves it!!! He uses it almost daily and so far it's withstanding the use. He's had it about 2 wks at this point.
