Rated 5 out of 5 by pocket rocket exceeds expectations originally planned to use this pocket rocket for camping...however when I was ferrying a pickup back from Arkansas to my home in north Carolina...the truck quit running...at night and snowing...I immediately lit the pocket rocket and while waiting on AAA to tow me in for maintenance....I was comfortable...warm and was having instant coffee. as far as I am concerned this pocket rocket made a very bad situation into a comfortable one at best. I highly recommend anyone taking any kind of trip include this with any emergency supplies you may take with you. February 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome little stove Light weight and compact, perfect for camping with little space for packing. August 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great burner, small size I have used this a couple times now and works great, very small and light weight. Boils 2 cups of water in only a couple minutes. July 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lightweight practical pack stove Took this stove on a three day Grand Canyon hike with a large group. It did its job well and performed up to my hopes. Quick to set up, lightweight, easy to use, simple to regulate the temperature, and simple to pack away. It performed as well as other stoves in my group that cost two or three times as much. Since I have been hiking for more than 40 years and own four other pack stoves, I feel we'll qualified to recommend this stove. Several of the other stoves on the hike were mine, loaned to other hikers. One big plus. Took only one medium cartridge. Once home, I still had enough to perk a full sized pot of coffee - lasted 14 minutes and 59 seconds at home! Perhaps just luck, but perhaps the stove sipped fuel judiciously. October 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by light weight, versital small burner tends to create hot spot, use lower flame to warm soups,or larger quanities of medium to thicker meals. The base sold seperately really stabalizes the stove. Overall very good stove. July 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent! Made HOT! Tea in a Blizzard and kept my entire group warm. I recently was caught in a blizzard and was prepared with my 72hr Bag, MSR Pocket Rocket Stove/fuel along with my canteen and some tea bags. The other members of my group were not prepared and quickly freezing. I thought of "To build a fire" by: Jack London. I bet the man in the story would have loved this stove it's a blowtorch! I consider myself a minimalist and traditional outdoors man and was a little apprehensive to buy this little guy but then I timed a boil on 1 cup of water it was a little over 60 seconds in driving snow and below freezing/ I was sold! Great price, easy to use, powerful, and well constructed! and super light! March 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Backpacking Stove Used it on a 4 day, 3 night trip thru the Smokies. Extremely efficient cook times as I was cooking for 4 people. October 17, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product Bought it for my son to use on a boy scout camping and hiking trip. He loved it! It worked well and is light weight and compact. Great for backpacking. November 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice stove Used on overnight canoe trip in ozarks, worked great nice and small and light. Made couple of lunches, diner, and breakfast on gravel bars with no issues. September 23, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Gets the job done I like the compact size and the massive flame produced by this burner. My pot sits flat and seems stable enough on the burner. The size is slightly larger than I would have liked to fit in my pack, but it's a good design. I recommend buying a fold up stand for the base of your fuel canister for added stability. July 15, 2014
