Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by best pole with this glass pole its not so stiff that you rip the lure out of the fishes mouth , but strong enough to bring it in . The fish so far , 3lb large mouth , 2lb walleye, 4lb cat. July 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rod has great feel to it. My opinion, this is one of the best cranking rods on the market. May 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent rod I used it in a tournament for the first time on Lake Eufaula and placed 2nd. I threw with that rod all day and caught around 30 fish including a 4.5 lb largemouth, a 6 lb striper and an 8 lb striper. I never had a single issue and it was great for the crankbait. I really like it for crankbaits, rattle traps, and chatterbaits. You can just reel and when the fish hits let it just load up and then really set it hard.......most the time the fish has already hooked itself and never even felt you. I've found that fishing chatterbaits on a stiff rod as opposed to the glass, just wears my arms out from the vibration. By the way, I fished the same lure as my friend who was fishing a rod that cost 3 times as much and I still beat him from the back of the boat ;-) He threatened to leave me on a stump out in the middle of the lake if I didn't quit :-) Also yellow is a cool color and easy to find in the boat. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent for sensitivity and hookability Good pole for apprx $ 80 price. Great use for wacky worm. May 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect By far the nicest pole I've ever used. The casting distance is unreal, you can feel everything on it, and it fights like a dream. I will be buying the jerk bait version shortly. May 1, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Rod Feels nice and is light for its size. Loads pretty good too, and casts a Mile paired with my Lews Speed Spool SS1S 5:1 reel filled with 50# Power Pro. I only gave it 4 stars because it's Yellow. September 24, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by not worth buying With less than a years use, the reel seat will not tighten because the clamp screw threads will not hold any longer. I still use Fenwicks from 20 years ago and they all clamp the reel fine. Don't waste your money or you will be in need of a rod sooner than you would like. May 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome rod This the best cranking rod for the price plus fast shipping April 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome price for a great rod These rods are very good rods and at 89$ you can't beat them I have four of these cranking rods 6'6" two 7' and now the 7'10" they all work great the 6'6" is also good for jerk baits April 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding crank-bait rod! As an avid, die hard fisherman who has been fishing more than most for over 30 years, I've used more brands and actions of rods than I can recall. I primarily fish for bass and prior to health issues fished in over 20 bass tournaments per year. This rod is an OUTSTANDING crank-bait rod. It loads well on the back swing of the cast which allows to really sling even small crank-baits incredibly far. It is light enough to use all day without fatiguing due to the weight of the rod, yet strong enough to muscle in some real "pigs" through tough cover. This rod is better than most other brands of the same style rod, and the few brands it may not be better than it either equals or comes awfully close to doing so....and the rods I'm comparing this to cost far more than what I payed for this. I have a few Skeet Reese rods, and I'm satisfied with them all. The price to quality ratio is among the best in the industry. I've been using the crank-bait rod quite hard for over 5 years now, so durability seems to be another plus. I had a few Carrot Stix rods that all died after one or two hard seasons, and they cost more. If you do a lot of crank-bait fishing and are in the market for a new rod, I think you'd be very satisfied with the Skeet Reese crank-bait rod. March 10, 2014
