Rated 3 out of 5 by Jeremy_lott good for kids
It is a good now for a young child. Not so much for an adult if you have a friend that what's to learn how to use a bow and don't want to get the adult bow the price is great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mikeysmom Worth the money; great tool for kids!
I bought this bow and arrow kit for my 8-year-old son, and he absolutely loves it! He's able to join his older sister every day now at archery practice. The only complaint he would have would be that the string on the bow is incredibly tight the first several times you use it. His hands were blistered from pulling it back. Otherwise, it's great quality, works well and we're very happy with it.

Barnett Youth Lil' Sioux Recurve Bow Package
My daughter wanted the Disney Brave Bow & Arrow set for her birthday, it was over $30 and the reviews for it were tepid at best. It was definitely a ?toy? and not something you would use as a real Bow & Arrow set. We wanted something that all 3 of our kids could use to practice the archery skills they started learning at girl scout camp.
While a nice compound bow was out of our price range (especially for my left handed child), at roughly $20 this Lil? Sioux set is designed for all kids, works right handed or left handed, and has a 15 lb. pull ? pretty hefty for an elementary school child but definitely well within her abilities ? and it has been perfect.
The entire family enjoys this set and we added a second bow, target, extra arrows and an arm guard to the purchase in order to make it fun and safer. I highly recommend this bow as a started kit for kids ? even older kids as my 14 year old is having fun with it as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by cam lil soux youth bow
Right after I bought my bow my girlfriend wanted to start shooting with me. However she couldn't draw the string back as it was a 50lb draw. So I bout the youth bow from dicks. Couldn't ask for something better for the money I paid. She loves it and has no problem shooting it. Although its not the most accurate, as the arrow does contact the guide sometimes and throws the arrow off, its still more than enough to put a smile on her face, and therefore on mine too. Great bow for the price. Great bow for a beginner. Thanks!

Rated 3 out of 5 by jan I was not happy with the selection of bows in the store. My son wanted an old scholl bow, the only thing dick's had were the bows for younger childre.
They only had bows for young children. my son wanted that style but one for his size. we bought the little soux and he is using it, but he really wanted a long bow and we were unhappy that the store did not have any of those in stock and do not carry them. we would like to see a bigger selection in the store. he was upset because this was his birthday gift. My son is deaf and is an excellent shot with any weapon he picks up. because he is deaf he has no sound disruption around him so he can concentrate fully on what he is aiming at. we try to use his deafness to his advantage with things like shooting and knife throwing, hatchet throwing and bow and arrow. We are trying to get him into competition shooting and target and dick's is close to us and we would like to see them have a wider variety of sporting goods for shooting and target and bow and knife throwing.
