Rated 5 out of 5 by Good for a first-timer in the backyard I recently purchased this item for my boyfriends 18th birthday. I didn't want to get a full adult sized bow because I was worried that he would end up shooting his neighbor or one of the local kids, so this is the perfect thing to get for a beginner. This bow managed to keep 4 teenage boys and a grown man entertained for 2 whole hours. The only thing I would suggest is buying extra arrows since this set only comes with 3 of them. The arrows do come to a slight point, so it will hurt if you get hit with one but it does not pierce flesh (which is what I wanted) Still its not to be played around with and would probably go through an eye so be careful. Its also surprisingly strong, it goes about 6 inches deep into a styrofoam target. July 2, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by For my 11-year-old My 11-year-old returned from camp wanting his own little archery set so we got this to see how serious his interest was. He plays every day getting better and better and his friends all have enjoyed it as well. ? seeing them outside with it versus on video games all summer long. June 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gift for 6 year old girl It's a little difficult for her to pull back, but she'll have it down in no time. Good for a challenge. 8 and 10 year old daughters are enjoying it, too! May 28, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect beginner bow for my 8yo son We picked this bow up on a whim because my son had a gift card for his birthday ,and his friend, who has a very nice compound bow and belongs to an archery club, invited him to go shooting. I know almost nothing about bows, but I was able to teach him how to use it by reading the directions. He can use it very effectively, and he hits the buck target when he shoots with his friend. He has been using it a few times a week for about a month and we have had no problems so far. It even comes with the wall holder that is very convienent for storing in the garage. March 11, 2014
