I use these pants while coaching/referring soccer games. Coaching in the North Face Resolve Rain Pant is perfect. They run a bit on the large side so when a storm pops up they slip right over the pants I already have on. These only have the front two, meduim sized pockets which is accectable. Had them on last week for a game and when the rain was done i slipped them off and my jeans were dry as a bone. If you plan to run in these as I do I would suggest going to the store to try them on because they do run baggy. Im 5'10' jeans size 31-31 and I bought the M- Reg and they are to big for a comfortable run. Other than that these are great pants and would buy them again, just in a smaller size...

I'd buy the jacket too!
Quality item from a trusted brand. Upside(s), the swoosh factor is relatively low in comparision with other pants of this nature, the interior mesh and venting makes for an extremely cool and breezy clothing experience. Downside(s), storage is an issue. The side pockets house a few items, but those few items are easily visable and throw off the natural contours. There is no place to secure a wallet, and not even a hook to latch those annoying, but smart and useful, carabiners to hold keys and the like. Overall, this item, the North Face Resolve Rain Pant, remains a fantastic and durable item for the adventurous. As already mentioned, I'd buy the jacket too.
