Paddle for kayak Works well, good price: all u need in a paddle what else needs to b said March 10, 2015
Great little paddle We purchased the 8 ft pelican kayak and the paddles .. Have been very happy with both, and dicks service has been impecible! March 10, 2015
Great starting paddle Okay so first of all, it's aluminum, that means it is not in the "high" end of paddles but keep in mind you can also spend more on a paddle than a kayak. In it's price range it's one of the better blade designs I've seen largely because I don't like flat power faces. I'm seeing a few reviews about breaking the paddle and I'm not sure if they were defective units or something very destructive was going on, I've had one for over three years and have put hundreds of miles of paddling on it. I have used it to lever myself along shallow areas, push myself off, throw water snakes, braces, and I have yet to break one via proper use. The only time I've broken one is accidentally stepping on it when it was power face down while taking out - and I'm fairly confident it would've survived had it been power face up. That said I've owned three, one is a spare, and one got stepped on. It's a great paddle and the only reason I'm giving it four stars is the aluminum shaft. I paddle year round and it will become encased in ice above and below the grips which can become an issue. January 22, 2015
Silly man, chutes are for kids! Oh Chute! I broke both ends off within 5 minutes of paddling! A fiberglass core would have made this paddle a lot stronger, but I guess they intended it for children, not adults. I was trying to paddle upstream in shallow water, so I probably hit the bottom. It's what I get for trying to save money. This paddle will work fine for kids in deep water. Happy kayaking! September 2, 2014
Think again... The oar broke after only four uses. You think your getting a little better quality because your paying a higher price than other cheaper models/brands but in actuality it is no better... July 16, 2014
fits just right glad I shopped Dick's Sporting Goods,....looked around and for price and quality this was the place and the store representative was knowledgeable about his products July 16, 2014
Good paddle Light, easy to use and fairly durable. I'm not a professional kayaker but this paddle worked great for what I needed. July 15, 2014
Good paddle Good paddle. Need to be careful with lengths...get input from sales associate and the try for a day on the lake....too short, you will get wet from splash and too long, you will be exhausted. July 15, 2014
decent value Nice paddles for our kayak...nothing earth shattering, just nice. July 15, 2014
Poor construction I have two of these, both broke where the shafts connect together so the two pieces of the paddle spin independently of one another. They both had minimal use, not even enough to wear the sticker off July 14, 2014
