Rated 3 out of 5áby sly64 This product is good and bad. The 870 camo stock and fore-end were pretty much as advertized. However the package arrived missing the two screws that are used to attach the butt plate/recoil pad to the stock, I used my own screws. Another problem was that the fore-end piece needed to be ground out on the inside to allow the fore-end tube nut to screw down onto the fore-end tube assembly threads that hold the fore-end piece properly in place. Luckily for me I have the ability and tools to correct this shortcoming. I can see how the poor fitting fore-end would cause this item to be returned by quite a few customers. Remington needs to have this re-designed for a better fit to the 870 shotgun. April 28, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5áby pinecarpenter 870 synthetic stock The spacer NEEDS to be on the gun before assembling the new stock. Remington will confirm this. The spacer keeps plastic corners from coming in direct contact with the butt end of the gun. The comb is a 1/8 in higher than the factory stock so be ware if you are picky like me. March 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5áby Shotgun870 Spacer/bushing not needed In regards to another review here. The stock bushing / spacer is not needed when using a synthetic stock. All Remington shotguns that have a synthetic stock from the factory do not have a bushing. Remington will verify that the bushing is only used for wood stocks to keep the base from splintering where it meets the receiver. That is why the synthetic stock is longer, to take up the space of the bushing. January 7, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5áby pinecarpenter Remington Model 870 Synthetic Stock & Fo The forend went on ok and seems to be made to fit. The stock didnt fit correctly though. There is a spacer on the 870 that comes with the wood stock where it attaches onto the butt end of the gun. The synthetic stock was an 1/8 in too long and needed to be sanded on the sander to fit correctly using the factory spacer which needs to be on the gun. The butt pad doesnt fit the stock correctly and sticks out the top. Clothing seems to get caught on it periodically. November 17, 2011
