Rated 4 out of 5 by Great frame, fabric not so much. I own a few of these. I discard the fabric first thing and build onto the frame. I use 3 1x4s across the frame going front tonback. After screwing them in securely, I attach a solid piece of roofing. I personally use the Ondura brand from lowes. The sheets are not as large as the 4x8 reg sheets when cut in half but fit perfectly on the roof and the second half can be used on a second one. I use the Ondura nails to secure it to 1x4s, seem to work better than other ones I have tried. The roof won't sag like the fabric does and it remains much quieter than a metal roof. Blends perfect if you use the brown color. I get many more years of use with this frame by using a diff material than the fabric. The frame will last forever Get a partner to help hold it up while you strap it on the tree. I then hang camo off the frame to hide me even more. October 22, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Poor construction The material for the roof is poorly constructed and has visible holes that will leak out of the box. The first one I ordered was missing 2 poles and the seams on the roof were already coming apart. I was sent a new one, all parts included but with the same poor quality roof with loose and leaky seam. The roof frame construction isn't secure and is noisy as parts don't fit snug to one another. I am a fan of field and stream stands but not this product. March 21, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Appears to be a good product Just received this after Christmas and haven't used it yet. Appears to be very well built. Assembly instructions could use some extra detail. I am set up against a rather large tree and am concerned if the straps will be long enough. January 13, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by A lot of parts I bought this yesterday and started putting it together. It looks like it will be sturdy, however how about making a product with less parts and assembly. I'd pay more for a product with less parts and less time assembling, leaving more time for hunting. November 3, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by fdield and stream roof kit Haven't had a chance to install yet. I measured it and it isn't as wide as the one that came with the stand so I need to take old hardware down. Not too happy about that as I have seven of the ladder stands that came with a roof. I think the manufactures of these stands need to make the roofs the same size for all ladder stands that they make. My stands are all Field and stream. So I guess I'll find out in the near future if it was a good choice or bad. September 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than any other brand by far I have several roof kits in service and Field & Stream is far superior to any other brand I have tried. I have a spare waiting to go up , one assembled ready to go up; all my camo net is cut and ready to tie to the roof kit. I have no complaints for the Field& Stream Roof Kit and have not had to substitute plywood on one but I have on all the other brands. Don't waste your time an any other brand. March 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by field and stream roof kit Great quality and very easy to install .I purchased this roof kit on line from Dicks.I received it in just a few days after ordering, just in time for the up coming deer season.the assembly instructions were easy to follow and only took a short time to assemble it.I strapped it above my ladder stand with two ratchet straps, worked out great Lenny C from Carbondale,pa December 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love It For the money this product is hard to beat. Instructions were easy to read, assembly took only a few minutes, and its easy to take down. Took it to the hunt club and installed it by myself. I took some burlap and used some plastic ties to tie it to the tubing, cut a couple of windows in it and I'm ready hunt rain or shine!! Will take it down and store it after deer season. November 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does what its supposed to do This keeps the rain off of you. We attach a string to the front 2 corners and secure it to the tree stand then wrap it with burlap, works great for concealment. The only bad thing it was missing parts but the customer service help was great and the parts are in route. December 7, 2012
