Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 96 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product has a great "slender" fit My son is a running back and has a more slender frame. Most football pants do not fit him well, because I feel they are designed around a child with a larger, more husky frame. We always buy Nike because it is a great product and fits my child well. Rated 1 out of 5 by Smallest pads, big hurt! I have to give these pants a half-star. Honestly, they gave very little protection in the hips and thighs. The hip pads are dangerously small. My son took a helmet to his left hip and ended up with a bruise and a big scratch from the facemask. Also, the thigh pads are so small and thin that they do nothing to absorb a blow to the femur. In an effort to make the pants and pads more appealing to pros and kids, Nike short-changed our youths' safety and charge an inflated price. I would never buy these pants again. April 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great purchase for youth football We've used these pants for the past 3 years and they hold up better than our actual game pants. We may have to switch our organization over to a all Nike uniform. April 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best football pants ever! I have used many different brands of football pants for my son. We have tried cheaper ones but you get what you pay for. He has used these pants for every practice and they never wear. Every other practice pants he has owned have worn holes in the knees, these do not. They wash wonderfully and still look new when they are done. My son says they are very comfortable. Buy these if you don't want to repeatedly buy pants because of worn holes. They are cut small, my son is 103lbs, average build and age 10 and he wears the xl. March 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Product! Nike football pants fit my son the best. However, none of the pants had knee pads in them; apparently these get stolen often. March 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality Item My son has been wearing these Nike football brand pants for the last 4 years. We got rid of the other brands because the did not measure up. The integrated pads save so much time for him and me! The material holds up to all the 100's of washings. The material is so much more breathable than the cheaper brands February 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by football i think this is a outstanding pair of football pants. November 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is our 2nd pair of Nike Youth Football Pants because they are Awesome!!! My son was actually able to get 2 full seasons out of his Nike Football pants. In fact, they will probably see at least 1 or 2 seasons more because I Coach my son's team and I will just put them into the gear that we hand out at the beginning of the season. They were his practice pants, so they were used 3 to 4 times a week for at least 4 months. Great product!!! November 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Pants. We have had several pairs of the cheaper pants, and this is the second pair of the Nike Youth Recruit integrated pants we have owned, and will stick to these from here on out. We purchased these online, and the fit is excellent. They were a little tight on the first try-on, but they stretched to fit perfectly within seconds (better tight than loose anyway). These are high quality, double stitched construction of heavy grade materials, and in important areas they are overlapped with double layers of cloth. They come with very good quality knee and thigh pads as well as tailbone pad, and the belt is integrated along with the buckle. We have two football playing boys in our family. So we have several pairs of pants floating around. Generally, we use last year's game pants as this year's practice pants. But somehow we lost the Nike game pants from last year, and had to use a cheaper pair for practice this year which fell apart by the second game. This year we purchased a pair of Russell Pants as part of our Team purchase, although I really wanted to get him the Nike pants up front, we decided to go with the team purchase to save some money. Long story short, we needed to replace his practice pants by the second game, So, we ended up purchasing this pair for his game pants and made his cheap team purchase game pants (which were only $6 less than these) his practice pants. Like I said, the Nike pants provide better protection all the way around, last longer, are tougher, and just look better than the cheaper pants. I wish I would have purchased the Nike pants over the cheaper team ordered pants (Russell) from the beginning, but it all worked out in the end. Now we are back on track, and he will use this year's Nike game pants as his practice pants next year. At the risk of sounding like a gear snob, I have learned over the many years of coaching football and playing myself, that good gear is worth the extra cost. It will last longer, look better longer, and more importantly, it will better protect your player. That goes with pants, shoulder pads, helmet (Especially the helmet) and cleats. We wear Ridell shoulder pads and helmet, with Nike pants, shoes, socks, and under armor cup and mouth guard. This system and gear choice works for us. Also, to note, we purchased one helmet from Dick's online and another from the Riddell rep directly (two seperate teams), one Speed helmet has the liner in it (from Dick's online) and the other one does not. I highly recommend the liner. It makes the helmet MUCH more comfortable and adds even more protection and adjust ability. I can say with 100% certainty, my 120lb 9 year old half-back/linebacker will destroy cheap gear quickly. Your mileage may vary, but we budget to spend the little bit extra for his protection. To me, my boys safety is worth it. October 28, 2013
