Rated 5 out of 5 by EASY INSTALL I am very pleased with my purchase of the F&S Outpost Elite Treestand Blind. First off, I was surprised at how fast my order got to my house, I ordered it online on a Tuesday and it was at my door on Friday mourning. Putting it on the stand was ALOT easier than I thought it would be, roof first then skirting "REALLY EASY". I put it on a 20' buddy stand that I have and it was a perfect fit. The directions to put the roof together could have more details and or more pictures to make it a little easier. I had to switch a few parts after I had assembled them to get it right. Took about 45 minutes to assemble. The field of view was better than I expected as well. I am very happy with my purchase. July 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product does everything I needed it to do. This product was easy to install, if you follow the directions. It is large enough to give hunters plenty of room whether they hunt with a bow or gun. I use a crossbow and it is perfect for them too. October 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great blind but..... I have 5 15' two man ladder stands on my property so i bought 4 of these blinds. they are built well except the roof could use an extra support or 2 if you get a lot of rain/snow in your area. I would recommend a better ratchet strap or 2. Was simple to install/put together. Besides those two minor things it's fantastic, has a lot of room too!! October 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is very well made. I purchased a two man tree stand blind from W M and one from Dicks Sporting Goods. I fully intended to return the lesser item. The field and Stream Outpost has clear instructions. The roof frame and tree attachment are heavy duty square tube. The roof, sides and skirt are lined with a soft quiet black water proof liner. Three large windows with quiet zippers allow plenty of room for two shooters front, right and left. Long skirt attaches with wide Velcro. Skirt is zippered in center front for easy access. Two pockets in skirt for easy access. This is so well made and engineered it will fit all 2 man stands. Bought a second one. Son saw mine getting one also. Not a field assembly easy transport!! Rated 1 out of 5 by Quality lacking, good concept Two man Outpost Elite ladder stand: It came with the blind kit. I very much like the idea and concept. You can move around and even stand without being seen. Rain is kept off you. A big plus is the wind doesn't pound you so you will feel warmer. There is not much to dislike about the combination of ladder stand with the blind kit except for one very important one, the blind quality is poor. In the first month the blind was a problem. The hold down "ribbons" easily broke free allowing the skirt to whip around in the wind and sustain damage. Two zipper pulls came off. Three points in the zippers ripped. The canopy (there is a separate skirt) sustain tears in the fabric from the wind. I (we) took measures and bought approximately 12 tarp hold down clips and attached them to the fabric and secured the hold downs with string to the frame to keep the skirt from flying away. When the skirt ribbons broke (the stitching is terrible and there are a lot of ribbons used to secure the fabric to the frame) the skirt went flying and the canopy broke free from the skirt thus starting the tears in the canopy. The canopy and skirt are held together with velcro (no problem with the velcro attachment if the ribbons were made stronger). I can assure you had we not taken measures to secure everything down with string and tarp hold downs the blind would be in shreds. In my opinion the zipper quality is bad. The problem is low quality construction. However, the blind concept with the two man stand we love it a lot. Oh, the quality of the stand is very good to excellent. My suggestions is to toughen everything in this product. If the price were doubled I would buy it that's how much I like the blind concept. Deer will not see you move around. The zippered windows are well placed and give plenty of "angles" to view and shoot from almost too much. I think the window opening could be made smaller but this is a small item compared to the flaws in quality. If this blind is greatly improved it is a no brainer. We are getting a new blind from Dicks, thanks to a super manager. We are going to take measures to fix some of the problem areas on the new blind canopy and skirt and even apply a camo tarp (secured to the stand) over the whole thing to keep the blind material protected while we are not using it. At the end of the season I will remove the skirt and canopy and either remove the top if i can from the frame or wrap it up with tarp to protect it from the weather and sun. The stand is on a private farm we usually leave the ladder stands up and replace when needed, getting them out it way too much work. So, i will leave up the metal blind canopy frame up too. I hope this makes sense and helps. Value is a combination of price and quality when quality fails there is no value. That's the way I see it. December 9, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Price is Right The price seems reasonable for what you get. I haven't hunted out of it yet, but here's a few things I noted from putting it up. Easy to put together and put up into the tree and it fit my double tree stand now problem. The ratchet strap is useless, take a good one (or two) with you. The zippers are small and will likely ice up and be a problem once the cold weather hits. More valcro to help attach the top cover to the bottome skirt would have been better. I think the zipper is going to rattle in the wind, but we'll see. Otherwise, I think it will help conceal us and keep us warm when the cold wind blows - we hunt in - 30C weather so it has to help! Rated 3 out of 5 by 2nd year hunting in this kit i just finished my 2nd year hunting with this blind which came with the 2 man Outpost Treestand. This year we had a range of weather which brought out a few flaws. The thing goes up pretty fast. Do get a couple nice ratchet straps to put the frame on the tree. We went from 50 degrees and raining on Sunday, to well below freezing and snow on Monday. In the rain, the roof leaked in several places, and the tension straps on the roof wicked water and carried it across the stand. I ended up taking those down, so it wasn't raining inside from those. Pretty much every stitch for the tension pole guides leaked water. The Tension poles didn't give much grade to the roof. When that all changed to snow, Monday morning, what was wet froze solid. The zippers are pretty small, these were very difficult to use. I derailed two of them. The ties also froze and drew up where the skirt ties to the floor. I ended up cutting two of them off with my knife to get them off. This did keep me out of the wind, and snow, but still got reasonably wet in the rain. It did keep me in the woods longer, and killed two buttons and a nice 8 pointer :-) November 25, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fits any two man tree stand Great blind. Good quality. Had one I purchased with the 2 man outpost stand last year. Was so good I went to buy some to add to other stands this year. Only reason I give it 4 stars vs 5 is the price. It's a bit pricey l... Costs more than a lot of ground blinds, not sure why. If you need a stand, but the blind/stand packaged together. You can find it on sale for 199 - that's a great price! September 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Keeps the weather off I have previously bought the Outpost stand with blind and have hunted it for two years without complaint. I bought some new property this year that already had a double stand set up on it so I purchased the blind kit for it. They're easy to set up and install and do a great job of keeping the weather off. I've been in snow, hard rain and sleet and was able to sit comfortably by adjusting window closures. So far I believe it's a reasonable investment at $99 and I will likely buy more in the future. December 7, 2014
