Rated 5 out of 5 by Daddy coach Whistle by lanyard
Excellent tool. I coach a T-ball team and have introduced the whistle to get my kids attention. Have 3 whistle rule. 1 whistle means go 2 whistles mean stop and look at coach. 3 whistles means take a knee.

Actually thought I picked out a ball style whistle, which was what I really wanted. After opening the package and trying it out, it was actually quite loud and had great sound. I coach girls basketball and all the girls were quite responsive to its sound. Needless to say, I was very surprised and pleased at the quality and sound of this whistle. It was a great "accidental" choice.

The whistle works well however I would prefer one with a rubber end.

I've used the fox 40 for years while referreing Soccer matches. One can make it really talkFor you. It can be very loud. And, that is why I chose it for a warning whistle on a construction site.

The lanyard is the only good thing about this whistle. You can barely hear it and it is difficult to get sound out. This will be thrown in the bottom of the referee bag for emergency use only.

After testing this plastic whistle out, I prefer the old school metal whistle with bead ball inside. Not very loud or strong sound. Light weight plastic, probably very cheap to make compared to the big $7.99 price tag! A bit expensive. Wont purchase again.

Nothing to brag about, it is average. My 15 y.o. needed a whistle to ref for 3rd & 4th grd soccer. She said you have to blow pretty hard for it to work right.

It was okay. If you're looking for a strong, commanding whistle, this isn't for you.

I have been using Fox 40 whistles for 11 years as a football official and have never had any problem with them. This came off the lanyard three times during the scrimmage on Friday night. I was lucky to find it all three times. The spring clip must be too weak and allows the ring to slip through. Not good to be an official without a whistle. I will not be using it at my game Friday night.
