Rated 4 out of 5 by Nikeygirl Problem with Mt . Bikes
If you have a Mt Bike with the knobby tires the trainer will not work well. The tires make a really loud noise . If you reduce the tension then there is not enough resistance . If you tighten the tension then the whole bike vibrates . Change to a smoother / flat tire on the back and then switch back when you are ready to ride outside .

I had a great experience when purchasing the Graber Magnetic Resistance Bike Trainer! I went into the Dick's Store in Richfield, MN, and couldn't be happier with how quickly I was helped, my questions answered, and how quickly I was helped through the checkout process.
Will shop there again - very satisfied!

This is a good bike trainer for the money. I did not want to spend a lot of money and this was perfect. Somewhat noisy but over all a great purchase. Just what I was looking for to get me through the winter month's. The trainer was easy to set up

Is extremely loud. Other than that it works great.

More expensive packages include this basic bike support frame, but the frame is really all you need to create a stationary excercise bike from your road bike. Heavy duty and easy to use, without extraneous accesseries to lose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chazz Solid, great buy for basic indoor training.
Solid trainer. Surprisingly quiet and smooth. So far so good.
Able to stand to simulate hills as well. Use it at high rotation on a road bike.
So far so good!

Rated 4 out of 5 by alt16four Great for rehab and a decent cardio workout
I tore a ligament in my knee last year and my road to recovery has been long and slow. After 3 months of rehab I was finally able to walk without pain and start to exercise again. I still can't run because the impact kills my knee but cycling was ok'd. No way am I going to spend the money for a spin bike, ever from Craigslist. I was told the trainers would do just fine and it has! I bought this trainer and hoisted my GT Mountain Bike to it easily. Set up took me all of 3 minutes. The resistance knob was difficult to see but I just painted the numbers with a white paint marker and now I know where it is set.
This will not give you a spin class work out. It is not meant for intense riding but if you use it with conjunction with your bike's gears and the easy to adjust resistance knob, you can still get a good sweat out of it. I love it and it has helped my legs get stronger and gotten me closer to getting back on the road to running.
I also love that my bike now gets more use since I can ride it without the risk of hitting the road in the dark, at night or early in the morning.
A friend of mine said he brings his trainer to marathons and halfs to use to warm up with before the race. He jacks his bike on the bike rack and throws this thing in the truck. He gets there and sets up for 10-15 minutes to get warmed up so his muscles are warm but his joints do not have to get any more pounding on them. I may do that in the future but for now, this thing in the garage is the best road to get back to being healthy.
