Rated 5 out of 5 by Hogs R Us This is Hunters Dream Light!
This light with the red LED with two brightness levels is the best. So many lights have the lighting sequence backwards (white then red) This one has it right. The first click is low power red, hit the button again and it is on high; Press and hold and the super bright white light comes on. It is about time someone got the sequece right for us hunters! Best light I have ever owned, and I go thrrough 2 each hunting season for one reson or another. All the hunters on my Christmas list this year will be getting one of these!

We are fortunate to be able to fish from our backyard and my husband needed this for checking the poles at night. He loves this as it keeps his hands free for baiting, etc. It was supposed to be a Christmas Present but he got it early. The light is bright but could be brighter, it could be easier to adjust, , in order to get it on the white light, you have to hold the button until it comes on. He can't tell if it is on bright or dim. He can use it to light up the path in front of us for quite a way. Another switch that would allow him to switch it from red to white would be easier.

Works just the way it should. The red light setting is nice for not drawing too much attention when getting in or out of the stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by zuez Best so far
Had owned a few other cheaper head lights and this one by far is much brighter, head band elastic is good and strong. Red light is great for sneaking in on deer unnoticed.

I purchased this device because I was putting together a emergency/repair kit to use when I go camping, biking, mountain biking, hiking and backpacking. The device is fairly well constructed and is very bright. It has light level and color select modes which really works well. The light intensity in bright mode is not wimpy at all, and the red works well in preserving your night vision. I wish the headband was in a solid color, but it is fairly comfortable and the light will stay put on your head. It does the job that I need it to do. The manufacture has a cheaper model but I think this one is the best all around unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by "FG" Great product at a very good price
I am a Firefighter and needed a "hands free" light source, that would attach to the front of my Structure Helmet.
The objectives were a hands free light source, that would provide adequate lighting for fire and non fire related opperations. It needed to be water resistant, somewhat shock proof and stand up to high heat enviroments.
What I got was just that. The two levels of red lighting, has proven to decrease glare, makes it easy for my co-workers to see my location, without affecting their vision and allows me to use lighting, when working with our helicopters, when they are flying with night vision equipment.
It has also proven to cut through moderate to heavy smoke conditions, giving me the much needed, better visability in these conditions.
The white light is oustanding in smoke conditions as well and is excellent for night wilderness opperations and for trafic collisions and medical rescues, where lighting is poor or absent.
The unit itself, has taken a fair amount of pounding and has not failed. I have exposed it to water and again, no problems.
The fuctionality of the light is well designed. Simple to use and the buttons can be depressed even when wearing gloves. The slim profile does not cover the lettering on my helmet shield, which keeps me in complience with department regulations.
I have put the strap, which designed to go around your head, around my helmet and find it to be sturdy, has not freyed or torn.
It was nice to have this product arrive with batteries included.
Many of the Firefighters who have seen this product, have been impressed with it's design and function and have rated it higher than the ones they currently use. We all agree, it is a much better product, than the similar product provided to us for free by the department.
When it is time to replace it, I will go with the same product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OTjo Great light. Very pleased.
This is my first headlamp, but I'm absolutely sold. I got it on a bit of a sale and have been very pleased. I've taken it running and used it around the house. The light performs well in both instances. The bright is bright enough to trail run in pitch-black darkness, and the low is nice for around the house. The red filter is a bonus if I need to check something out while my wife sleeps. Overall, great light at a very good price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WaynefromAL Good trail running headlamp
I run on a paved trail early in the morning that runs along a swampy area and a lake that is known to have poisonous snakes resting up on the trail. No a problem when the sun is up, but in the early mornings it is impossible to determine if a crack in the pavement is a snake, or if a snake is on the trail looking like a crack in the pavement!
I purchased my Princeton Tec Remix Headlamp because of the power rating, which it deserves in my opinion. Using the white light feature in the lowest intensity setting is more than enough to light up the trail for yards ahead. It is light enough to wear over a runnning hat and nothing rattles or shifts which is important when running for miles with it on your head. In the future I plan on running in at least one 24 hour Ragnar Relay race and in the Sebring 12 hour race, both races require running or biking in the dark, and my Princeton Tec Headlamp will be a good addition to my race equipment when I compete in those events.
