Waste of Money
With four kids playing lacrosse, I purchase a lot of mouth guards. I typically buy the inexpensive $3 mouth guards at LaxWorld. However, while shopping recently at Dick's, my son convinced me to get this more expensive mouthguard. I had to admit, it looked much more comfortable than the cheap ones. I bought a couple of extras for my other kids. First time my daughter used hers, a big chunk came of the back of it. Thankfully, I had an inexpensive mouthguard as backup in my car as the Shock Doctor one became useless. After wearing it for less than an hour! I've never had that happen with the inexpensive ones from LaxWorld, so no more expensive mouth guards for this family! Waste of money!

Uncomfortable
I have gone through two of these mouthpieces for my 10 year old son for football. He constantly complains about the hard plastic sections that project out on both sides around the rear molar area. These do not mold when heated and the hard plastic rubs against his gums and roof of the mouth. Should consider a redesign of this section. otherwise overall quality is good and the coverage of all the teeth is nice. I would recommend checking other products before purchasing this one.

this guard works well but takes a few times to truly mold to the teeth well. we've had to do the molding step several times but other than that it's ok.

Need a 3rd size option
I bought the adult size for my 10 year old son (spent $20 for the braces 1) It was way too big. Purchased this youth size and it is way too small. So now I'm out $30 and have no mouth piece for him.

Mouthguard
No i would not recommend this youth mouthguard. My son had it hanging out of his mouth it was way too big and uncomfortable--i dont understand why it didnt fit the other have--he is 8 years old, so i expected the youth to fit

Does not last
The size and fit of this mouthguard is quite good. It was easy to mold and my 8 year old daughter said it was comfortable. Unfortunately, it is falling apart after two days of camp.
