Rated 4 out of 5 by Does the trick Light weight. Small and compact. Does great for small cup/hand pot. Will probably use in the winter for in tent heat source to try out. This is handy not rigid super heavy duty.best for cans or cups. August 9, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Product User for Ten-Plus Years I bought this product more than 10 yrs. ago for Boy Scout camping trips when my son was a scout. I used it multiple times in hot, moderate and near freezing cold conditions. It never failed me! Its construction creates a natural windshield around the flame so I was able to get started with my cooking while other campers were still wrestling with lighting their various devices. I used it to quickly heat the water I needed for my Mountain Island meals, coffee, and hot cocoa. The square base makes it very stable which is important when the terrain is less than level. I also used it during an ice storm related blackout that last about two days. The stove worked like a charm. As for the canned fuel containers, I am still using the first of a two can set I bought at the time of my original purchase of the stove! The stove packs away well; although it isn't a light-weight item. So ultra-lite backpackers should consider something else. I also learned that the materials of the cooking pot one uses will dramatically affect the performance of this stove/canned fuel combo. Lightweight aluminum camping pots will allow the fuel source heat to transfer through much better than heavier household pots/pans. I would not use cast iron pots/pans because I'm not sure the heat source is strong enough for these items-unless one somehow raises the heat source closer to the bottom of the pot/pan. Rated 4 out of 5 by Good But Not Great Likes: compact, cheap, works good for price, burns clean/smokeless Dislikes: takes 4-5 min to boil water at sea level, for the burn time it has it's a little heavy and only lasts minutes not hours, you have to take at least two alcohol burners per weekend, if not more and that's if you use them sparingly But: for the price and if you wanted to use it in an emergency and I repeat EMERGENCY situation it would be useful and definitely work for its intended purposes, but I do not suggest it as a normal use device, only as in something like a bug-out-bag or something of those sorts if you have no better option, especially since the better the product it will get on the expensive side of things, so I would recommend this product for emergency uses more then a normal use sort of stove. Rated 5 out of 5 by It really works fine! I bought this little stove for emergencies to heat coffee, soup, etc., when the power goes out. I'm not an outdoorsy sort of person and was a bit concerned about whether I could get it to work. It didn't come with instructions, but it was pretty easy to figure out. I unfolded it and set it up on my kitchen stove. I then lit a small can of canned heat, and watched closely. It brought a cup of water to almost a rolling boil within about 20 minutes. It really does work! I didn't notice any smell or smoke, but I did turn on my stove vent fan. It appears to be safe to use inside if it is watched. I love this little stove. Now I know I can at least have coffee if the power goes out for several hours -- Yay! December 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by fast and easy stove At first look, it looks like a toy. I tested outside to make hot water for tea, with in 12min. the water was boiling. It is easy setup and sterdy on flat surfaces. A good buy for lite weigh stove that you can use anywhere you want heat food or water for teas and soups. Great for car trips. November 12, 2014
