Excellent product but shop around
Perfect outdoor pant. Whether you are hiking and trying to stay cool, trekking through a river, or climbing and scrambling over obstacles these are the right pant for the job. They are light and keep u cool. They dry very quickly. They also hold up well while climbing or crawling over rock, logs, or debris. There is a downside. The cost is a little much for the product so shop around first. Also, I have a 33 inch waist 32 inch inseam... But large thighs and butt region. The 32x32 fits my waist but I had to get the 34x32 because I couldn't squat or kneel in the proper size. These are still great pants and I would recommend this purchase to others.

Fell apart on second wear
I replaced a pair of much cheaper cargo pants I had for years with these. I was very disappointed when the waist button separated from the pants on my second wear during a fishing vacation. I bought the pants loose to make them extra comfortable but they just fell apart due to poor quality. Going back to the cheaper brand on the next pair.

Great pants!
Bought these for my husband in the army green and had to go back and buy them in the khaki as well because he loved them so much! Favorite pair of pants and wears them all the time! Comfortable, casual, but nice enough to wear to casual work environment.

Defective pockets
The Dick's local store was out of the proper length, so the sales person ordered two pair on line. My wife washed the pants before I wore them and one pair was O.K., but the other pair must have had defective material and both pockets in the back of the pants were crinkled funny -- as if the fabric was in a bind. I can't wear them that way so she will return the defective pair to the Dick's local store.

overpriced
The pants look nice, BUT they need to be ironed and they do stain when used in a kitchen environment, too expensive to use as work pants.

On sale the pants can be a good value. Columbia does have some quality issues.

good hiking pants
Nice feel to the pants, relaxed fit. Waist size runs large, I had to return the original pair to get a smaller waist size.

After the first washing the seam by the zipper frayed.
My son has several pair of the pants. He likes them very well. However one of the last pair I purchased the 1st time they were washed the stitching at the zipper frayed. I am asking for them to be replaced.
