My Golf Buddy World Platinum is Great
I play golf at least 4 times a week and at different courses. My Golf Buddy has proven to be very accurate and I give it full credit for this old man shooting lower scores than I ever have. It's so easy to use and I would suggest that I have influenced many of my friends and competitors to buy their own Golf Buddys. In all the years I've played this great game of golf, I have never seen or used a more effective aid for my game.

The product is very good but it fades after 15 seconds and there is no way to make it stay on.

Golf Buddy
I've only played a few rounds witth my new Golf Buddy, so I'm still getting accustomed to all of the features. So far, I've been bvery impressed with its accuracy in yardage calculation and in its coverage of various trouble areas (sand, water, etc.). It is a little difficult to see the display in bright sunlight, but I'm sure it has the ability to improve the clarity once I find that feature.
Good purchase at a good price. I can hardly wait until they open the Dick's Sporting Goods in Redding, CA.

My Golf Buddy is my caddy.
This old duffer is amazed with his new Golf Buddy Platinum. Having "my buddy" with me is like having a caddy walking beside me. This past weekend I had my Golf Buddy with me at the Furman University Golf course. It performed great in the cold, wet and windy weather conditions at Furman's Intercollegiate Golf Tournament. I am looking forward to using my Golf Buddy Platinum every time I put the sticks in the back of my Mini Cooper and head out to the course. I want to share my Golf Buddy with my pals but I prefer having an advantage over them. Just kidding. If you have been having thoughts about getting an electronic device to help on your course: "Head on out to Dick's and get yourself a Golf Buddy Platinum and enjoy your game."

Golf Buddy World Platinum
This is my 2nd GBWP. Returned the first one because the screen faded out in the sunlight. Just received the 2nd one and it too looks faded in the sunlight.
The best way to describe it is the fairway view on the screen looks like water color or a faded pastel color which ever you chose to call it, it's hard to see. Still not sure if I'll keep it. The yardage reading is good just the view of the fairway less than desirable.

very difficult to read the screen in the sun light. Tried to return but golf buddy won't accept return. It is almost useless to use

Short life
Used it for two years without trouble. But then it would not move off of the first tee no matter which course I played! Called hot line-got someone in Pakistan who I could not understand. Finally he emailed me a software update. Impossible to load, confusing. Even my tecky was unable to load it. Device is worthless. Not certain I would buy another Golf Buddy. Has to be a better way to repair it than talking to someone who has difficulty with the language.

Seems easy and quick to use from the box
I have not used my golfbuddy yet due to winter, work etv but what time ihave played with around with the unit it should (hopefully) will help my game.

Poor quality checks at Dicks in Tempe and Peoria
I bought the Buddy Voice in Tempe, took it home and it wouldn't charge. I exchanged it at Dicks in Peoria. We tested the battery there and it worked while plugged into an electrical outlet. I took it home, but it wouldn't work on just battery. I returned it for a full refund in the Peoria store. All service people were excellent, but someone should be testing these units before selling them, especially if it has been on the counter for some time. Visiting Dick's three times is a waste of my time and my gas. I finally bought one at Valley Golf and it works fine.
