Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by light and clear These binoculars are nice for walking around without my "binoculars bearer," i.e., my husband, who usually carries the Zeiss. This pair of binocs is very pleasant to carry and seems more than adequate for identifying birds. July 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent value for good binoculars These have good optics and features given the price. Great for hiking or traveling where you need portability. They are small and lightweight. On the downside, the ballistic nylon case is a bit small for the binoculars with strap attached. The ocular caps are are very cheap and fit poorly - this was a surprise for a Nikon product. The adjustable right ocular is poorly marked to determine the neutral setting. I also own a Nikon 8x21 Medallion S binocular. I prefer the 8x21 for better depth of field and slightly crisper optics, despite the slight decrease in magnification compared to the 10x21. If the price is similar, I'd recommend the 8x21 unless you really need the slight increase in magnification offered by the 10x21. June 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very clear, small size We have bought binoculars a few times that we haven't been happy with. These are good quality, crystal clear and lightweight. May 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Top notch compact compact binoculars! I am a bird watcher, especially with raptor birds. Hawks, falcons ect. These compact binos have such excellent clarity and visual sharpness. And, in such a small package! Super lightweight, small and compact. These binos don't take up any room in the suitcase or travel bag. I own 4 other pairs of different size binos, but my 10x21 Nikon medallions are the best ! Sturdy lightweight construction with soft rubberized grip, and with superior focusing dial that rolls with your finger tips. I highly recommend these compact binos to anyone for any outdoor activity. Rated 4 out of 5 by Not powerful enought for bird watching We bought a pair of Nikon Medallion 10x21 binoculars to take to Costa Rica to use on the jungle water trips. The binoculars were very compact and light, and functioned very well. The problem was we purchase the wrong product for the trip. The binoculars were not powerful enough (10x). Also, when you adjusted them to the 10x power, the field of vision width was too narrow (21). April 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by 5-Star Purchase! I had purchased these binoculars for whale watching in Mexico. Although not as powerful as the (heavy, bulky) binoculars brought by other members of the family, for me they were lightweight, amazingly clear & powerful enough! I really was going for something lightweight but the quality & clarity surpassed every expectation I had for a Nikon product. I would recommend these binoculars in a heartbeat! A very good value! Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy overall I looked at several binoculars for myself. Most I saw there were 10x but the size seemed to be perfect for me. I bought them and have no complaints. I used then mostly for range use but binoculars are an excellent thing to have for many reasons. I can easily see .223 holes at 100yards which is the main reason I bought them. Very happy overall. Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous! Lightweight. Sturdy. Easy to Focus. September 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great quality at any price These are after all made by Nikon. That isn't meant to add snob appeal due to the name, but it has the merit of exuding an air of quality and pride that results in a top notch product. These are featherweights. Obviously plastic optics are used, but the major camera companies have been doing this for decades now and it is an established technology. I am a hiker and these fit the bill in every way imaginable: great optics, reliability, toughness and super-light. July 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by better than I thought With such a small opening, I got better results than I expected at lower light levels. Lightweight without feeling cheesy. THe location of the focus knob takes a little getting used to. May 21, 2012
