Outstanding optics and field of vision These binoculars were purchased as a gift for an elderly gentleman who loves bird watching. With this in mind, I wanted a pair that would be relatively light weight, easy to handle and adjust, and had excellent optics. After looking through the different manufacturers available, I chose to purchase the Nikon. I have a background in photography and know Nikon to be superior to most competitors when it comes to optics. So when I found a pair that had the characteristics I was looking for and was manufactured by a company known for their optics, the choice became clear. The gift was well received and the gentleman could not put them down for over an hour because of his delight. HAD TO RETURN BINOCULARS I had to return the binoculars as after one use I developed a circle of rash around both eyes. I assumed they had not been used. I had to get a oortizone treatment to heal the rash. September 10, 2012
