BSA Optics Sweet 17-39x40 Rifle Scope 4.4 5 14 14
Daisy 880 Wanted an inexpensive scope for my sons old Daisy 880 pellet gun that was in the closet gathering dust. Picked this up at Dick's. Very clear for the distances used (up to 30 yds) even on max magnification, and is clear far beyond that. Its as clear as my Redfield Revolution or my Bushnell Banner and it picks up light well. Eye relief is good, not overly critical. Clicks are distinct. Love the adjustable objective down to 7.5 yds, makes the target very clear even for the 1/4 inch 10 ring. Sighted in easily, holds zero well so far. Quality is good so far, no issues. Have put about 500 pellets through it with the scope, which is a lot of pumping and jarring. Getting 1/2 in to 1 inch groups at 15 yds which is way better than the 4 inches with iron sights. I know it's not a centerfire or even rimfire but it works for me, especially for an old pellet gun. Can't figure it out????? I bought two 17 hmr rifles, two sets of scope rings, and two sweet 17 varmit scopes from Dick's on the 16th of October, got them home, mounted the scopes, and was boresighting the rifles and low and behold, one of the scopes is blurry and the other is crisp and clear, now remember they are both identical, can't figure it out.. I recommend that you ask the store clerk if you can remove the product from package and check it out before you purchase. October 30, 2012
All I can say, is wow! After going through 3 other scopes on my Savage 93r17, I found this one at the local Dicks store. AFter mounting and zeroing it in...this has to be the finest rifle scope I have ever used on this particular rifle, and the predecessors were 6 power scopes even. This scope is absolutly perfect for .17HMR rifles. I made five shot groups inside of 2 inches at 100 yards, then moved out to 250 yards, and made several five shot groups inside of 4 inch circles. I even impressed myself. Overall, a very simple, yet beautifuly made scope. Thank you. August 28, 2012
I would buy this product again great buy June 27, 2012
The Best Scope Ever Excellent Optics, very clear view. Easy to sight in and spot on. 5 shot group at 100 yards could cover with a dime, that was with a 20 mph tail wind. I am buying two more for my SR22 and AR-15. They also have one for my 30-06...I can't say enough about this scope. I highly recommend the sweet series of scopes. May 29, 2012
This is an awsome scope for the money. Not only is this a great value, but the optics are very clear. The settings are calibrated for the firearm you would use it on. Ex the Sweet 17 settings are calibrated for the HMR17 rifle, as is the Sweet 22 for the 22 cal. Best scope I have used at this price point. With these results why would you need to spend more for a scope that will cost more and may not function as well. Great choice, Highly reccomend. May 17, 2012
very nice scope.. nice May 1, 2012
you get what you pay for i just started to shoot rifles at the 100 yard mark. so after getting the sweet 17 i was excited to get it mounted and take it to the range. it was very easy to site in at 50 yards. it took about 5 to 10 shoots after getting close with a bore sighter. at 50 yards i was able to group 15 rounds in a 1 inch circle. proud of the tight grouping i took it to the 100 yard range. although i was able to hit 6 inch groups my 1st time shooting that distance i found the scope hard to use. the problem i had was the thin cross hairs where hard to see. they were so thin that they disappeared when i looked at target down range. i had to put it on target move away from scope and come back to line up the shot. i did that 4 to 5 times per shot. in the end i was guessing. i since tried a different scope and never ran into that problem again. so from my point of veiw this scope was awesome at 50 but due to cross hairs was not so good at 100 yards. if they used a thicker cross i would buy it in a heart beat. the only other thing i can add is that this scope was crystal clear at every power. i would give it a 5 star at 50 yards 2.5 at 100yards. i will not recommend to anyone wanting to shoot distance. in fact if a friend wanted it i would give it away.
