I bought this on a whim for my bear recurve bow, and let me tell you it worked great . I didn't expect much but it gave me improved consistency of my release . You just have to make sure it is locked on good and it works. Beats numbing you fingers up using a glove.

as for the store.. Why not have check out lanes open on all levels of store!? Also the release that said was good for left and right handers was either labeled wrong or defective. It is not good for lefties.

Works. I do like the thumb trigger. I like not having the wrist velcro style.

The pin that locks the release onto the string broke after about 10 shots. I can still use it, but have to manually lock the pin into place to draw it back. Not exactly a safe option.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TonyMan80 Good value for the begining archer
I purchased this for a compound bow that I bought off a friend. I was worried that it might be a little cheap. The strength of the construct is well made and as with most things.......time will tell. Overall I am pleased with the use of this release and may be back to buy one or two more as a back up or one of the higher cost releases. After all it is a great buy for the begining archer!

For a simple $10 gadget just to hold a bowstring, is it really worth driving back to the store to exchange it for another that may not work? I think not.

Involuntarily fires! I put on my Martin pulled back to test and it dry fired and broke my string who knows where my TruGlo Peep sight went! So now I have to return, buy a string and new peep sight! But at least it was a dry fire and know one got hurt.
